Imagine if everyone flooded threads with shit unfunny videos that add nothing to the conversation. The boards would quickly become unusable. I mean yeah we can just scroll past just like we could ignore someone pissing in a garden, but if everyone pissed in the garden things would get grim pretty quickly. Do you get that's why it's antisocial?

I do apologise for posting a vid that doesn't meet with your approval, on what I thought was a jokey thread. Humour is subjective. What one person finds funny, someone else doesn't. That's fine. But please do not try to intimidate me for putting something up on a humour thread, that you don't like. I have not "flooded"the forum, as you are suggesting and it was a flippant post that did not have to lead to conversation, as I was under, possibly judging by your reaction, the mistaken assumption, that it was a place to post jokey content. Fine you didn't find it funny. But do not have a go at me because you didn't like the humour. I'm sure there are posts on this thread that many of us do not find funny. But I wouldn't deign to berate someone over them. Someone needs to get the stick out of their arse and stop trying to belittle someone else because they didn't find the post funny.

Me too. I thought there was a clue with the word "ridicule" in the thread title.
What's different about this particular thread than the "Wasting your bandwidth" one in the General forum?
I've seen a lot of posts in this thread which are just images, memes etc which also "add nothing to the conversation"and as far as I am aware, there's been no necessity for the person who posts such things to offer any insights, opinions or preparation for others before looking at them.
There has been loads of such content which is utterly meaningless to me - due to different cultural, political or generational references etc - but I don't get my knickers in a twist about it. If I don't understand it or I don't "get it", I just move on...

Scared Ketchup is talented and often really funny but he's definitely a bit pervy.
I was an avid fan when he first started but I think his best work is behind him now.

Generally speaking Urban is short(er than it used to be) with content that heads into edgelord territory on stuff like sexism and shaming things people can't help, which has been the result of a lot of conversation over the years.
Longer time posters will as a result tend to be a bit tougher with new folks just to make sure the point is made early, which I get can feel a bit hostile but does help keep the place in better fettle long term.
