Essential Trump/Alt-Right Ridicule Thread

"A company is offering a four-year-long cruise for customers looking to escape the upcoming Donald Trump presidency."

I like the idea, but besides being too expensive for most of us, these things tend to lag in execution. Two years from now, we'll be reading about how it all turned into another Fyre festival.

Have seen quite a few reports of Trump voter shocked that family, partners and friends are not feeling very forgiving for them voting direct against the best interests of other people..
and we not even got to the bad part where trump is in power.. the leopards eating peoples faces party is going to be getting a hell of lot of new members over the next few years

I've seen reports of an increase in divorce applications with Democrat women not pleased with their hubbies votes, and of a company saying there'll be no bonuses this year because they need to buy in materials before the tariffs come in.
Yeah I've heard those. But how many of those divorces are there? Not a lot I expect and I bet most of those marriages where on the rocks anyway.

As for the canceled bonus, it sounds more like the company taking advantage of the situation to screw over ther workers.

No I really can't see a business doing something unethical like that

The tariff issue has become a bit of a bugbear of mine. There are loads of examples of people making fun of Trump supporters for not understanding that the tarif is paid by the American company not the foreign company. And I'm sure that's true they don't understand and I'm all for laughing at them. And I'm sure that if Trump goes ahead with the tariffs, which he may well not do it will drive inflation up.

But the people pointing and laughing either ignore or don't understand that the US companies can and will try to push some or all of the extra costs onto their suppliers. So invariably so of the burden of higher tariffs will be outside the US.

Yes good points. It'll be interesting to see the results of American bullying of countries who try to respond with their own tariffs on the US which will doubtless be seen as tantamount to an unprovoked declaration of war.
