Response: Educated voters.
Much more so women who take direct actionwomen who vote.
Much more so women who take direct action
I agree more with Emma Goldman and not just about voting.Direct action is really, really important, but they wouldn't have tried to ban women from voting if it didn't make any difference.
Things would be so much better if more people made a real effort to be ungovernable, then we'd actually be getting somewhere.women who vote.

And yet she literally said that "if voting changed anything they'd make it illegal." She also refused to call herself a feminist because of the connotations at the time with women's suffrage. And she was locked up for her deeds rather than anything else. She wasn't against women voting, per se.
Why is it so important to you wether or not I've been involved in 'direct action projects' and why do you think I'd definitely want to talk about such things on here? It has no relevance to anything.I'd still like an answer about what direct action projects you're involved in, or have been involved in. Or, should I put you back on ignore?
Terrible pizzas, mind

Like her I like to put emphasis on becoming ungovernable rather than supporting and participating in a failed system.
And yet look at where representative democracy and a fixation on the vote has landed us. Direct action and autonomous alternatives from below are more important.Except she didn't say that. That quote has been attributed to at least three authors, including Mark Twain and peace activist Phillip Berrigan.
Plus, there's the fact that those in power have repeatedly sought to limit certain groups from voting--the poor, women, former slaves, natives, etc. Sometimes this has been through absolute prohibition, but also through literacy tests, poll taxes, fewer voting places in minority neighborhoods, voting on weekdays when most working-class people are working, etc. (In fact, it WAS illegal for Goldman to vote being a woman and all). There are ongoing efforts to continue depriving people of the vote even now.
I agree. It's a shame that we're nowhere near that being possible though. And yet look at where representative deomcracy and a fixation on the vote has landed us. Direct action and autonomous alternatives from below are more important.

It also created and enabled Trump.hmm fixation on the vote last time got rid of trump
time before people not being bother to vote whilst the other side was on the rise lead to trump
so not sure why you hit this thread with this subject
You're invested in the system that allows these people to rule.hmm no sure i've ever voted for a populist right wing bastard in any country but do tell
or do you mean by voting we are encouring the bastards/
I'm not the only one. I do think there are those who don't realise just how annoying they infact are.I know AA can be annoying
