Essential Trump/Alt-Right Ridicule Thread

It's the age old argument. I guess we're on the same side but it isn't always convincing by some of the platitudes expressed here.

a stupid cartoon. the argument in there is that WIC or AFDC recipients, section 8 tenants, those on the GI bill, are merely riding a carousel and are jerks for not being fully conversant with libcomism or similar, and signing onto its program. even the leftcoms i used to hang around with did things like strike, work with migrants, engage in tenant actions, all of which are "reformist", eh.

It pretty much captures the differences in the outlooks of Ax and AA I thought. Not sure I was making any other major announcements with it.

it simplistic but I like it for it having some relevance

thinking you can completely disengage from the system whilst you try to undermine it is folly

you are going to need to bring people over

Strikes, tenant actions and working with migrants are neither reformist nor revolutionary but can be examples of resistance to the current set up. They are a good thing to do, whether you're pro revolution or pro reform. Supporting Labour or the Democrats is most definitely reformist. While I understand people voting for these organisations as "the best of a bad bunch" any further engagement (eg actually joining or campaigning for these rackets) is a different kettle of fish.

Eta: defending these fuckers (as some on here want to do) is pointless.

Cheers for answering. He appears to be referencing US statutes which I don't know or care about so couldn't be arsed.

which is why I am, natch, a member of no party nor do I engage in electoralism. but a slummer posting here thinks that to be happy about programs which help indigents keep their tenancy or which pay to buy food for children is to be a slave to capital. can you talk to him?
