Essential Trump/Alt-Right Ridicule Thread

As prosecutors in Manhattan continue their investigation into the Trump Organization's finances, attorneys in Scotland are citing its progress to advocate for opening a parallel investigation into how the former US president's company financed golf courses in the country.

At a virtual court hearing in Scotland Thursday, the attorney Kay Springham asked a judge to allow the government to issue an "unexplained wealth order" (UWO), also known as a "McMafia order," The Scotsman reported. The order would force the Trump Organization to open up its books and explain how it financed the acquisition of its two Scottish resorts.

In trying to persuade the judge, Springham pointed to the criminal proceedings in New York, where the Manhattan District Attorney's Office has filed tax-fraud charges against the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg.

Weisselberg played roles in operating the company's two golf courses in Scotland. Insider first reported several days after the New York indictments were filed that Weisselberg was terminated from his role as director of Trump International Golf Club Scotland, the holding company that owns Trump's Aberdeenshire golf resort, the Trump International Golf Links.

The Trump camp sent two emails on August 4 asking supporters to get on board with carrying the red and gold cards, which look like credit cards and bear the former president's signature.

"The card you select will be carried by Patriots all around the Country. They will be a sign of your dedicated support to our movement to SAVE AMERICA, and I'm putting my full trust in you," Trump wrote in the first email.

The Trump team sent a follow-up email later that night, which read: "We're about to launch our Official Trump Cards, which will be reserved for President Trump's STRONGEST supporters."

Of course there is a fee associated with the card.

The most I could do is $1 and that's all in delivered.

(for the Chilli's curiosity shop you understand)

"We recently met with the President in his Florida office and showed him four designs," the email continued. "Originally we were planning on releasing just one design, but when President Trump saw the cards on his desk, he said, 'These are BEAUTIFUL. We should let the American People decide - they ALWAYS know best!'"

It's probably more like "We showed Trump a printout of possible designs while he had a mouth full of cheeseburger, he gave a grunt that we believe signaled approval. Our social media intern said losers like you might be more likely to cough up money for one of these things if we had a contest to choose the design or whatever."

If he was still in power, the headline would be "Bronze medal-winning women's football team requests asylum after authoritarian leader attacks their political beliefs."

Well they weren't allowed to cheat like he does when playing golf. The bronze medal game was actually really good, USA scored 4 and Rapino (woman with the purple hair) scored two - one straight from a corner which takes some skill and another volley from 18 yards out which also takes some skill.

They did let in three though with the US goalkeeper reading thoughts of chairman mao when she should have been saving things.

Interesting article.

This week, America’s most watched cable news host is broadcasting from an authoritarian state — not to criticize its leadership but to praise it.

Fox’s Tucker Carlson is currently in Budapest, airing his show from Hungary’s capital city. In his Monday monologue, Carlson told his listeners that they should pay attention to Hungary “if you care about Western civilization, and democracy, and family — and the ferocious assault on all three of those things by leaders of our global institutions.” He tweeted out a friendly photo with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and is confirmed to speak at a government-supported conference in Budapest on Saturday.

Make no mistake: Fox’s marquee host is aligning himself with a ruler who has spent the past 11 years systematically dismantling Hungary’s free political system.
...
To understand why the American right’s admiration for a small Central European state is so concerning, it’s important to understand exactly how democracy in Hungary died.

Buhler? Buhler?

Janet Buhler’s day off has landed her in hot legal water.

Not sure it can be described as an official statement, he's just some whackjob that used to be President. His statements are no more official than mine.
Sadly, there are 70+ million headbangers in the US who treat it as such along with an extremist media infrastructre, a rabid fringe of religious groupings and a tawdry collection assorted online grifters and enablers who are more than happy to push his narrative and worldview. Whilst he is clearly demented, the weight of his former office plus his assorted boosters does make it 'official'.

Like I said, shit timeline.
