Sorry first of all for not saying goodbye to mango5 and madzone. I was parked very badly so we just loaded the car and got out of the way.

Great to see lots of lovely people again and to meet some new people especially pootle and her mate who great entertainment. :cool: The music as ever wasn't really my thing but Who's Afear'd were top fun.

I definitely need to work on my tolerance to cider though because I managed to get completely battered both days and needed a little lie down. :oops:

The tractor ride was great but a little scary but I was relieved I didn't have to be towed through that mud. :eek:

Another yay for pieminister pies, they were amazing!

Still slightly disturbed by all the frocks and shit but I'm sure I'll get over it.

A few pics. More to come!

Monday morning. We bid the festival goodbye for another year!

Just about able to post now, didn't feel very well yesterday. It was brilliant wasn't it? We hardly saw any urbanites more than once each though, as we were awake at completely different times of day (apart from spacehopper, who we spent an evening with, and LDR, ngeru & moose who were our neighbours.)

Massive thanks to pH for doing all the driving. And for hitting Rambo with a hammer and making it start again, when we broke down on the way in :D

It's a completely different thing going in a van. We missed a bit more, because having the option to put the kettle on and get back under the duvet is really difficult to ignore some mornings. :D

Continuous fun from midday friday to 3pm monday (apart from a little bit of downtime just before bed on friday)

Didn't 'see' a single band. Ate about 2 whole meals. Met loads of nice people, sometimes for longer than 10 minutes. Fell in love with pink tights. Sun+mates+field+music+drugs=win. Possibly best festival weekend ever :D

I had a brilliant time at my first Endorset!! Thanks to Iemanja and Magneze for tent sharing and giggles, Mango5 and Golightly for the much needed morning coffee fixes! Sparrow, Crispy, Bluestreak and M, G and E, Zora etc for being excellent camping/travelling buddies and for making my non-urban friends feel welcome.

x x

I had a marvellous time. I knew I was going for the company, not the music... and the company didn't disappoint :cool:

There were a lot of people I only saw once or not at all though :(

I bailed on Sunday afternoon, not being able to face another night in my teepee of fail. I'm rubbish at camping. If I can't manage more than 48 hours at a tiny festival with no rain, then what hope is there for me?

Those highlights in full:
* Sailor Jerry
* Twenty minutes of dubstep in a tent
* Full Welsh breakfast
* Hippy crack
* That hairy fella in the tutu

That was brilliant! Fantastic weather the whole time, magneze/Iemanja's gazebo was a god send for providing a bit of shade! :cool:

Excellent camping crew, met a few new people, didn't get mugged by security, just about managed to avoid sunburn, got nicely wasted. :cool:

All in all, a top notch festival! ;)

everyone is blates lying their face off, it was shit, but then again, simple things please simple minds.

No-one's lying :D I've already said I'd be disappointed if I'd only gone for the festival. It was being with a group of people that were brilliant fun that was the good experience. The festival just provided the venue.

Honestly sorry that you had a shit time, but just maybe :hmm: that was personal to you?

Pretty much everyone else posting in this thread seemed to enjoy it. Perhaps numbers don't completely lie, and neither do people -- each to their own innit .....

Just woke up after a mammoth sleep and am capable of stringing a sentence together now! :)

Well that was a corker oh yes!

I hardly saw ANY of the bands but tbh that didn't matter at all - the company and the laughs made it the top weekend it was. Having said that, I saw the last bit of Eat Static (blinding!) and Smoky Angle Shades in the Strummerville bit was awesome.

I didn't manage to spend time with ALL the urbs but spent time with plenty which was really great - and and had a right laugh camping with Jan, my bro, Ed, Em, Bee, Cpitain Rbubish, Nipsla, Memespring, Dub, Pieface, and of course my old school birdo mates Kal, Jen, Soph, and the Leamington posse.

UBER thanks to Dub for his mammoth DJing sets, and to Ed and Nipsla for theirs which rocked. My fave bits in the Wigon Casino were when Nipsla dropped 'pass the Dutchie' on Fri night and everyone went wild, oh and then dancing round the miniature handbags on Saturday night (lovely to have a good old boogie with you pH).

The paddling pool in our camp was just perfect - bliss lying in the nice cold water and drinking iced cider with lovely company was fab - good teamwork filling 'er up guys! God, we were lucky with the weather, weren't we?

Oh and getting towed up that muddy hill was bloomin' great! :D

Scrumpy Sunday - ace to see everyone dressed up, esp. pH, Crispy (rock god!), Mango, Iemanja and Magneze (love the eyelashes!).

Right, I'm going to shurrup now. Coffee. :)

I enjoyed it despite the fact that alot of the music was shit. In fact, the hilarity of some of the shit music made it even more enjoyable than it would've been if it was good. IYSWIM.

I thought my Sunday sarong might attract a little bit of attention but -pH-'s sterling efforts on the dress front :D and those of so many other Urbs left me wth too much competition .... :p

_pH_ is the clear winner :eek: , but big praises to golightly, spacehopper, Magneze and Crispy too!

I wouldn't go so far as to say 'a lot', that's over harsh IMO -- only some ;)

I caught lots of good stuff -- Dreadzone, Zion Train, Pama International, Mikey Dread, Cash Converted, Hobo Jones with added Attila, Who's Afear'd, Tragics, some of the Strummerville stuff ..... all of these rocked my boat .... and I've always liked Pronghorn too.

Sham 69 were TOTALLY shit mind :hmm: :D

On sunday, I had a balloon and was transported to a completely convincing alternate reality where you were thrashing around on the floor and firky was trying to restrain you. No idea why. Just thought it might interest you or make you think it was an even shitter festival :)

PS to 1671 :

I get the feeling tp saying it was shit isn't principally to do with the music anyway, she just seems to hate the whole thing :confused:

That's a shame, but you can't win over everyone!

I thought most of the music was shit tbh and I thought the festival was a bit one-dimensional. It needs cabaret and theatre and some different kinds of music from ska and punk.

Monday morning. We bid the festival goodbye for another year!

Lol. Me and Freya were walking out through the van field on monday morning, and I saw an assembled crowd that appeared to be cheering a cars going past. I was all "honestly, what is up with festival morans, cheering cars leaving, it's hardly a remarkable feat mutter, mutter"

Freya's response: "They might just be a taking a photo"

And look, now someone took a picture of the same morans cheering at traffic ;) :oops:

The last thing a festival needs is bloody cabaret & theatre!! :rolleyes:
If it wants to have more than one dimension it definitely needs cabaret and theatre.And some street stuff. Most decent festivals have (or had) cabaret and theatre.
