Ok, ok, would have been better if I could have bought freshly baked crusty bread with some gourmet cheeses, a selection of salad leaves straight from the ground and some finest freshly made mayo, but in that case I would have gone to borough market for the weekend instead... :p
I realise that for you grimy city-dwellers fresh produce is an exotic luxury that you can only occassionally splash out on. But here in the south west we find it grows straight out of the ground :p

A farmers market at a festival? Whatever next. It'll be cocktails (with ice!) & gazebos next!!

Oh.

I don't think a farmer's market was being called for :D

Just some local food. Surrounded by fertile countryside and places that produce good stuff - it did seem strange that we got lots of food shipped in from elsewhere.

they had an excellent farmers market at Electric Picnic last year, went down a storm.

i'll never forget staggering back to the van - wankered - with Pie Face proclaiming, "oh fuck, we forgot the balsamic"!

Farm shop then. Same fucking thing & my point still stands.

So there. :p

;)
Your point doesn't even stand in the gentle breeze of casual attention. You probably need to be on drugs all weekend to mask the panic of being so far away from a McDonalds :p

We did, purely and only, because Balbi rushed up to us at one point going wow they were great! You have to see those! etc :D

So we did, they were back at 6pm as advrtised by Balbi, and they were so good we gave them £3 for a cd :D

...but when we got it home it was an unplayable mr. skippy.

Cheers to everyone who came and saw us, we had a wicked time doing it (as I'm sure you can "imagine"). Glad we gave you a few laughs. Did you catch the guitarist being force-fed cake without realising it had, ahem, herbal contents?

Stig - really sorry about the skippiness of yer CD. PM your address and I'll get you another out. Haven't had any other problems, honest!

Just for the record, that BTTP gig has sneaked into my top 5 gigs ever :)

And if I am going to add more things to the want list for next year:
dig a small ditch where the tap is going to be and fill with gravel to create a soakaway so there isn't a large muddy puddle to hop over

I skidded in this puddle on sunday morning. I didn't fall but I ended up with splatters of mud all up my pyjamas and cardi. It looked like I had pooed myself.:(

:D :D :D at Dolly and PieFace.

How come the "100% there it hurts" option has increased by 2 since the festival?

Is that new urbanites joining? :)

*waves*

I was wondering that and thinking we must break it to these people gently that this fine festival is actually over and not on again till next year :(
(really though I think it's mainly dervish and wiskey having added their names to the list now their attendance isn't secret anymore + 1 other name I don't recognise.)

we spent quite a bit of time looking for the meteor showers too but everytime I looked up the whole sky moved and was a bit fuzzy, so it was difficult to tell if there were any!

There was loads! I didn't do any rugs on the Sunday and STILL saw about 20 shooting stars exploding away out of the corner of my eye....twas amazing I tell you. Me and the Janster sat outside the van for about half an hour and saw them every minute or so  :)

Honestly people :)
It's 3 nights, so the obvious pattern is easy, hard, easy. That's what I did, and I feel fine :)

Oh yes. I so agree. That is SO the way forward. This has been my festival philosophy for a while, especially since I've been driving back and don't want to do rugs the day before driving.

Changing track is a really good plan too - a different rug every day...eg. cola/moddom/mushies. It works!

Oh, and just one more thing....

Now we know that the campervan field takes as many tents as you want.....perhaps we could have a mahoosive camp urban in teh campervan field next year....whaddapeepsfink ?

It means ice cubes all weekend (fridges)! *ahem* swimming pool! One uber camp urban! ;)

next year will be derv's 30th birthday - so we'll prolly have more cake at endorse it.

i rekkon taking over a larger space would be a good idea - a bit more space between tents might have been nice.

dont fancy sleeping on stubble though

Loadsa space in the campervan field - there were enormous gaps between the camps :)

No problemmo - we stamped it all down! It was fun! Seriously. It seemed harsh at first - like loads of nails pointing upwards...but when we stamped all over them they went all flat and were no problem at all

Ms Idaho wants to come next year so we would bring the wagon - so a big camp in the campervan field would be ideal.

I saw loads of extra stars on Saturday night :)

I think that may have been the acid though

And for someone actually in a tent -- their opinion? ;) :p

saturday morning i remember going to that cafe thing at the other end of the campsite and queuing for what seemed like hours. i remember asking cheg if he thought it would be weird it i lay in the queue as opposed to standing.

"yes", he said.

:(
LOL

this is all hilarious (the thread and peoples comments)!!

i think i might know who you were dollysgirl...when i visited camp urban to have some lovely cocktails and say hello to people, i noticed one (sweet looking girl) who was absolutely hammered and kept leaning on the gazeebo pole nearly making the whole thing collapse down.

this was at approx. 6-7 o'clock...

hi and welcome to rover btw. was nice chatting to you then (friday around 6-7)

I slept in a tent pitched in a stubbly field and it was absolutely fine – helped that the ground was so flat, was a lot more comfortable than other times I’ve been in a tent in a grassy but lumpy field.

Although having said that, by the time I crawled back to my tent most nights I’m sure I’d have been able to cheerfully sleep soundly on top of a family of porcupines…:D

Dubversion's backstage shenanigans

Does anyone know who this is? I saw Dubversion stroking his quiff backstage and telling him how authentic his band were....

;)

I have just had such a laugh reading this thread. Dolly's Gal, you dont look old enough to have joined U75 when you did  :D

Ah.... wish it was this weekend and we had it to look forward to still. Friday night is always the worst for me, then Sat a quiet relaxing one ready for Sunday all day sesh.

btw Han, it was lovely to meet you. About that bloke not getting your name! After you went, he said to me he was so embarrassed and was getting all confused by Idaho sticking his hand in his face:D He decided to join U75 though, so we may see him around these 'ere parts.
