we spent quite a bit of time looking for the meteor showers too but everytime I looked up the whole sky moved and was a bit fuzzy, so it was difficult to tell if there were any!

:D

I tried to find those on Sunday night too ... but for the same reason ...

Complete FAIL!

"I just saw one!"

"Really? Where"

*points vaguely* "THERE....oh, wait.....i'm spannered it's just a floodlight"

:D

i think Parsley's point about a shop is a good one - a lot of people came on the bus, which limits how much you could carry. A farm shop - milk, bread, eggs, veg, fruit etc - would have been useful AND been a nice addition to the (ahem) vibe...

There was a shop. And it did sell those things.

I myself bought an orange. It was a good orange.

None of that other stuff was any good to those of us non-camper van hoi polloi. :p

(except when the eggy bap stall ran out of eggs)

I do agree the food was a bit shite though, especially the campsite cafe with it's extortionate fried square soya block and revolting spiced beans, and no egg.
There was one place on site that did a shit eggy bap though to sort out hangovers with, so all wasn't lost.

No it didn't. It sold some water, some cans of drink, some sweets and a few pots of yoghurt, sliced bread, etc. Basically a trimmed down version of what you can buy from a poorly stocked petrol station.

And if I am going to add more things to the want list for next year:
dig a small ditch where the tap is going to be and fill with gravel to create a soakaway so there isn't a large muddy puddle to hop over

I think next year they should have a cow & chicken shop and we could just milk the cow ourselves and egg the chickens in the mornings.

That would be teh

Ooh yeah, good point.

It had everything on Dub's list! Milk, eggs, bread, fruit... um, might not have been much in the way of veg... but it had pot noodles and chocolate instead. :D

Ok, ok, would have been better if I could have bought freshly baked crusty bread with some gourmet cheeses, a selection of salad leaves straight from the ground and some finest freshly made mayo, but in that case I would have gone to borough market for the weekend instead... :p
