Probably the best thing to do is to take a lot of very trashed mudcoated crusties to wrestle them to the ground.
although I did enjoy dressing up in 2005, I agree with you 100% :)

heh - plus they look better with the muds :D :D :D

(and, like a suit of armour, falling over in mud in taffeta is ... pretty much ... a death sentence...)

I hate those gimick days/places at festies.

I was watching some Glastonbury coverage the other night and there was a tv outside the Ballroom at Lost Vagueness only letting certain well dressed punters.

what a fucking joke - i thought things like that didn't matter at glasto.

glad i didnt go now.

It's a dressing up game, really - and there's a booth where you can get your own tux/gown

Idaho - hey yes, bring your gazebo! Are you coming in the campervan? If so maybe we can stick our gazebos together and make an uber-gazebo structure ? :) I've got a camo net and a couple of tarps we could add to it in case of rain :)

what an absurd post.

entrance to the back bar at LV has ALWAYS been restricted to those dressed up, it's part of the LV thing. And it's one small bar on a site of thousands of acres.

Sounds like you need to get some perspective.

Alas Ms Idaho and the nippers are using the wagon that weekend :( I'll be in a tent and getting a lift from Spion.

Sounds ideal. Given that the British Summer now no longer exists, I'm all for somewhere dry to sit that isn't in your tent.

Han - I will bring the gazebo, table, windbreak and ground sheets. Perhaps we should fashion a shelter for the friday drinking/general urban shelter.

we can bring our tarp and some rope and find a couple of sticks in the woods, to add to the communal gazebo extension.

I missed this post while I was posting mine... Sounds like we'll end up with a field cocktail palace. :D

Agreed. The only place in LV that's ever had a dress code is the Casino & you can hire a cozzy there & then if you don't take your own. What's the problem people. It's supposed to be fun ffs!

(thanks wrysmile for offter asking your mates about tent. but really i might buy one or ask some of my mates) also is there still a list of people who are coming?

List of people who are coming - see poll and add about 5.

Cocktails - will sort out who brings what nearer the date.

Do you know if there's a seperate campervan field? I'd like to camp with you guys...

Just wondering...anyway - I am totally up for making a mothership of gazebos with all the gazebos/tarps/camo nets etc. we have.

I just got a lovely new flag off ebay.

The campervan area is in the car park field nearest the tents. Literally a stone's throw.

if you built a decent seige catapult, maybe even a boulder
One could even express the distance in space hopper jumps - 30 enthusastic bounds I would say.
