Idaho said:The campervan area is in the car park field nearest the tents. Literally a stone's throw.
han said:in the car park?!
Hmm...still - if it's close by that is cool, I don't want to be too far from the urban gazebo mothership...
Why not - 'tis a festival isn't it?Crispy said:Shall I bring my big speakers? Or is that sort of thing frowned on?

Idaho said:The general car park turns into a campervan park as it nears the tents. It's fine and not as ignominious as it sounds.
Idaho said:I would suggest that we built the gazebo edifice around your van as without something solid to build on to/act as a wind break - it might be tricky.
Stig said:The only thing we have at the moment is a small-ish green tarp and some polyprop.
I'm sure we'll do wonders with it though...
Idaho said:Well if you and citydreams are willing to play host, are arriving friday afternoon then park up next to each other with a decent space between, and we can fill the space in between with gazebos, tarps, etc and make a cosy dry spot.

Choc said:i just found out:
this is interesting to people taking the train:
the train leaving from waterloo to salisbury is on the 4 for 2 offer sheme.
so any 4 people travelling together pay a total of £69 only. only after rushhour 9.30 am. applies to staying for 3 days ie friday to monday. good offer innit.
Idaho said:The most ideal situation would be for the campervans to park up next to the hedge that seperates the campervans and the tents. Then the urban campers and urban vanners can be next to each other. I saw people doing the same last year (that's what you did Aurora wasn't it?) . Go for near the top corner of the campervan field - presuming the layout is the same (which it won't be) then we should aim for this:

NVP said:Nah, if I turned up at a festival and saw a sign saying 'this place reserved for ... etc' I'd think it sucked.
crustychick said:The campervans will need to get there early to park in that spot... It was full up quite quickly last year, and there were loads of campers in the car park - less cool place to camp...
I take your point. Howabout we just ask to be allowed on site 10 mins before anyone else - no signs needed.NVP said:Nah, if I turned up at a festival and saw a sign saying 'this place reserved for ... etc' I'd think it sucked.
han said:Idaho - that sounds like a plan
Is there a hole in the fence so people can get to the campervan field though - or am I being really dense? wouldn't there just be a great big hedge between us?
