Nah, it's not going to swing me the time. Bloody co-workers taking holiday at the same time as me

Have you asked your annoying co workers to swap their holiday for you?

Have you told them you have a ticket, perhaps you could say it was bought for you?

Cry?

<running out of ideas>

mr d can only get the friday and monday off in'all, but we live half hour away from the site so he will hopefully have time to come down, if not - tuff coz i got the whole week off:cool:

Enough unneccessary :( smiley posting about a consequence which could have been avoided if i'd been bright enough to sort myself out properly.

Shame you can't make the fest Balbi :(

To cheer yourself up and as some slight compensation, come to the Lambeth Country Show on Sat 21/Sun 22 July in Brockwell Park (FREE with ska n roots n dub n ting and also steam engines, shire horses and a great Cider stall -- CHUCKLEHEAD)

My favourite quote from the BBC Glastonbury coverage:

"If you need to don a novelty hat just to signify that 'Now Is The Time To Have Fun' you might just want to question your own sense of sanity."

(or words to that effect) :D

You lot should be on commission for this festival. Me and my Gf are going to give this one a go after reading reviews on here and efests. We need another festival this year and looked at going to Beautiful Days but my friends are getting married that weekend and this looked like the best option for the rest of August.

I'm well excited, It'll be our first small festival and I like the look of it, especially as my feet still ache after traipsing for hours through the Glasto mud. The compactness of it all is very appealing. I know a few acts on the line-up, but I'm looking forward to catching lots of new stuff. Generally if there's some cider about, good music and sound people I'm a happy man :) .

Here's a little money saving tip for those travelling on public transport from London, get on the Megatrain website http://www.megatrain.com/uk/ we just bought returns to Salisbury at good times on the Friday and Monday for £7.50 each. I think you have to sit in a designated cheapskates coach on the Train, but it's a bargain compared to the standard return fare of £56 and that's more beer or cocktail money saved :)

Wow, I didn't know there was a megaTRAIN! :) Nice one :)

From looking at the megatrain and the salisbury bus timetable, the sensible train to get is the 12:20, which gives you 1hr wait for the bus in Salisbury (a spot of lunch and a quick look at the cathedral I think)

Buses from salisbury are:

depart-arrive

0840-0906
1040-1106
1240-1306
1430-1456 - for megatrainers
1705-1731
1745-1811

OR hitch from just south of the cathedral

So is the cheapo mega train coach some kind of wooden cattle-truck ?

I realise that they are considered to be pure evil at festivals, but I am half considering bringing the gazebo that we put up in the back garden to stop the nippers getting sunburnt. I'm thinking more that if it is pissing down on the friday then we can huddle under it swigging cocktails before hiding in the main tents like everyone else.

Almost toying with the idea of bringing my palatial tent...

rich! found megatrain the other day, but we left it for now.

Since it's just been posted, I've booked immediately.

So, who's on the 8:50am from Waterloo on Friday?

Who's on the 14:45 from Salisbury on Monday?
