It really must be a bloody great festival, coz I'm starting to realise I missed pretty much every single thing that was going on, yet I still had a great time :D

i went with a big list of bands i wanted to see and hardly saw any of them. i was more into just socialising and bumbling around, to be honest

i think out of the bands i did see, the cropdusters or hobo jones and the junkyard dogs were the best.

Know what you mean mate!

Can't wait to see the photos Ed  Deffo upferrit next year. Despite the chronic shortage of house music which made me practically hysterical/orgasmic every time I heard a repetitive beat......;)

I was disappointed to miss the cocktails (AGAIN! - by the time we'd got there and got our gazebo up it had all finished apparently!). Gah. Mighty impressed by Gloworm and TopCat's luxurious setup (and hospitality - thanx!). :)

All in all, aside for the terrible calamity that was the camper van field (did I really pay an exta 20 quid to be treated so shabbily?? Surely there must have been some almighty cock-up on that front, 'cos the organisers generally do seem to make every effort to think of everything..) I will definately be back though, 'cos it was still really good fun and I thought the inside of the festi had got loads better actaully.
Now I don't like being back home...

You were in the campervan field? Didn't see you at all except for from afar when I was too cidered to move.....camp-van-urban was under Moose's flag. Ahh well, maybe next year, eh.....:D

Weather is changing, no month is spared shit weather.

Which is why you just have to go for it! Our weather is shit, hadn't you noticed? :D That's why we have things like green trees, and lush green fields of grass, ahhhh.

Marnin'

cheers to everyone who came and cheered / laughed / heckled Who's Afear'd over the weekend. I had a U75 shout-out all ready and then completely forgot about it. I think they call that fluffing yer lines (something that most of you lot didn't have a problem with ;) ).

Only got to speak to the Jefe-meister and a couple of others over the weekend as was ultra-distracted. Looking after Rita (and her quiche) was particularly important. Gotta say that watching Back to the Planet, in 2008, with my mum, was a wonderfully surreal experience!

Absolutely crackin' weekend, as ever. Can't wait for next year - am hoping that they will convert the church down my road into a permanent Wig-on Casino...

:)

Sorry I didn't see you this morning, my body had completely given in and I just couldn't wake up :(

Not the greatest host in the world, me

Oh it's alright, I kissed you gently but you did not stir so I left you in the love nest :)

xx

next year I'm NOT ALLOWED TO DRINK

Aqua at 3pm: "I dont want to repeat what I always do and flake out on the friday night"

Aqua at 6pm: zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Aqua at 7:30pm: *bursts out of tent, looks around* "I'm so drunk!" *goes back to bed*

I look forward to next year

Despite the chronic shortage of house music ...
It wasn't a 'chronic' shortage. It was a joyous shortage! :D

Meanwhile, the karaoke video has landed. Be afraid. Be very afraid. :D

(Click on the high quality link if you've got a decent connection).

Agent Sparrow; I was testing a new camera and couldn't work out how to get the video going in time - sorry! Pics coming soon though.

I had a vid of agent sparrow but the quality sucked because something was set wrong, sorry :(

Ah well, never mind. Probably for the best. :D;) I'm soooo doing it again next year though, and might try and wait till there's a bit more of a crowd.:D

Will enjoy watching the other one in a bit though!

I'm still grinning like a maniac every time I remember the fun things that went on.

Kevicious - didn't realise that was you :D You were a bit mean to Rita, to be fair - she should have slapped your legs and withheld quiche.

ffs - will you people keep me off the scrumpy :D

I had an ace time. Although the rain on Saturday was a bit of a bummer it was probably my best day and I apologise profusely to the Ed and Spangles for talking bollocks at them 19 to the dozen  Also apologies to anyone I woke up in the early hours at Camp Urban as I appeared to have my personal volume turned up to 11

I didn't see many bands but Hobo Jones were great as were The Beat and Alabama 3. Also njoyed what I saw of Clash Converted.

Nice to meet loads of new Urbanites - I can't remember everyones names now but was lovely to chat to you all.

Special thanks to TopCat for tea and egg baps and to Idaho for the cocktails (no worries about the Style Council conversation - I think we agreed that they were shit in the end :D).
