Did anyone get to see Firky trying to put away my pop-up tent? (or did he just leave it?)

I can barely do it and I have watched the video online :D:D
I did - and I videoed it :D :D

I'll be back later - but all I have to say at the moment is...

endorse-it was brilliant :D

I've got used to my scrumpy diet and would like to do it all again instead of sitting here back in the office! I've got a thing for camping now - just want to be outside with a tinnie, tent and camping stove, and another punk/ska festival of course :)

that was good fun. my first festival in 10 years and i reckon i'll go again :)

the rain got to me a bit on saturday but it was nowhere near as bad as glastonbury 97 or 98.

nice to see everyone, and thanks to all those who helped me enjoy the weekend. :)

Jittug and I were discussing everyone saying saturday was a rain washout last night . . . we think the thing to bear in mind is that it always sounds worse from inside a tent. esp a small one. it really wasnt so bad outside.

the flip flops were definitely not one of my greatest ideas ever
I was a tad gutted I hadnt brought flip flops as trying to get my feet into my boots to go to the loo in the early hours was v.v.hard. Had to pee in the porch on a couple of occasions

I finally feel able to write more than a couple of lines.

Was lovely hanging out in Camp Sensible and being fed, watered and spliffed – thank you Tanky, Wiskey et al. Big thanks to Space_Hopper for sorting us out with smokeables and a lift to the station on Monday morning.

I only visited Camp Urban twice, once for the cocktails and was very happy to be given a soft drink for free – thanks Idaho. Was lovely to see everyone and watch more and more people arrive. But blimey, I know hardly any Urbs these days. I only went back again to visit Sunray’s chemical emporium on Sunday afternoon which resulted in my needing to walk very fast around the muddy festival a couple of times until the effects had worn off. Was nearly match-makered away, and I am not sure who the person was who I may have confused, by not being in to men or women at that particular time. But nice to meet you anyway. :)

A big up to the two spannered boys Foo almost convinced they had enjoyed weekend despite one of them losing their nose on Friday night. It was also great to find a fellow right-down-the-fronter to bop away to most of the bands with. Was also nice hanging out with Dub’s mate Andy on Saturday evening. He’s a lovely handful! :D

It was a perfectly sized festival for getting about and I love the fact you could rock up anywhere and find someone you knew within a minute. And there are loads more Urbanites who I still didn’t meet.

*goes for another little lie down*

and thanks to all those who helped me enjoy the weekend. :)

does that include the people who were pointing out the slippery mud and telling you to be carefull in a menacing manner :p

I had a really good time , especially on saturday when I just wondered about in the rain watching bands ( one band was on the main stage with about 3 people watching them which was a shame because they were damn good - even though I don't remember their name ) . The definate highlight was seeing hobo jones 3 times and theres too much good stuff to mention so I won't bother :D

And My Favourite

The Splott Brothers had to be tractored off site after their Sunday performance. George kept playing the whole way..

Oh Dorset is is beautiful wherever you go
And the rain in the Summertime makes the wurzel bush grow
And it's pleasant to sit in the Thunder and Hail
With your girlfriend on a Turnip Clamp to hear the sweet Nightingale

Apparently I used to sing this at school but I can't remember. Magic Sam knows it and he lived in fucking hampshire.

I can't remember who was on stage (possibly back to the planet) who commented on the long, giraffe neck. Did anyone else immediately think she was referring to firky? :D

Had a good time mostly, but was very disappointed to miss the cocktails as there awere so many people there that I didn't see at all and (felix! I didn't know you were there!) and people I wanted to meet but didn't get the chance to.

Nightmare journey there but many many thanks to citydreams for doing his absolute best to get us there in the face of recovery madness.

Many thanks to meems for helping us get the tent up in the dark

Hardly saw anything at all but had a great time in some sociable tents (unlike ours which had us sleeping with our noses against the top of the bloody thing).

Loved the silent disco and the punk karaoke and the Vibronics, could have done with loads more of them.

Moar seats - I'm old!

The loos were great and the mud was rubbish but I do feel like I've had the 'proper' festie experience now.

Completely knackered today after a long journey home.

All still worth it though - it's a great festival :) :)

I was intitially in a bit of a weird head space having come directly from Climate Camp...
Took a while for me to get in the spirit of things, and then it was Sunday...and I so wanted another day...
Loved bumping into all the Urban people, meeting Mrs Idaho, hanging out with the stig and Rich! Cheers to Onemonkey and that wrong 'un, Wrong speed and most especially citydreams for making my Sunday...
All in all, aside for the terrible calamity that was the camper van field (did I really pay an exta 20 quid to be treated so shabbily?? Surely there must have been some almighty cock-up on that front, 'cos the organisers generally do seem to make every effort to think of everything..) I will definately be back though, 'cos it was still really good fun and I thought the inside of the festi had got loads better actaully.
Now I don't like being back home...

I totally lost interest once the rain came down. One too many muddy festivals for me and 2007 is still a fresh memory.

I'd go again because I like it as a festival but only when its sunny, which is true of all festivals I suppose. Takes your chance. Weather is changing, no month is spared shit weather.

That was fun! I have only just got home and I can't wait to take off these clothes, have a long hot shower and some food that is not either cider, rum or if solid, curry.

Big thanks to Crustychick for good company and to foo, another big thanks to Tanky and Dodge for letting me soil their tent and putting up with foo and I talking shite at 5am :D

And of course a massive thanks to Jefe and Pie for putting me up for the night and driving me across. A grumbling thankyou to Kanda for the loan of a fucking bastard to put away tent :p and air mattress, and before I forget, cheers to felixthecat too

Off to get some vitamins and things.

Edit to add: Been to lots of festivals over the years but EiiD *is* the best. Not because a load of freaks off Urban go put because it's just so small, friendly and best of all - fucking daft. There's a forced crazyness at some festivals but at Endorset... well it's not.

Oh and to the couple who had a big row in the tent next to me... they made up my Monday morning. I guess she must have given in to him.
