Was a bit annoying that they took away a lot of the benches they had last year though. :(

Yeah, the lack of places to sit was a bit annoying, especially with the ground being muddy.

It's a mark of how good the festival was that the only negative things I can think of are minor complaints like this though.

Yep - I'd echo that - never seen such clean loos at a festival EVER. Did pixies empty them at some obscure o'clock? Cos I never had to witness the horror that is the poo-sucking lorries, either.

My brain has attuned itself to the sound of the toilets being cleaned, so I wake up about halfway through the process and find a fresh clean toilet. Most useful superpower ever.

Yey! Did Crispy's brother do OK on the Sunday evening after we left?
He was fine. We watched Alabama 3 with him before we wimped out and trudged back to the tent for a final finish-all-the-drugs while knocking everything over session. He stayed to watch Dreadzone then came back and crashed in his tent, and looked indecently fresh and chipper the next morning.

We had a brilliant time. Thanks to Citydreams' mate (whose board name I'll forgotten - he's a lurker!) for the lift back on Monday. Hope CD's van is fixed soon.

I only managed to see about 1 1/2 bands on the main stage but had a great time wandering about on Sunday. Highlight has to be the punk karaoke, with Urban ladies setting the standard - Sparra giving it loads up first, and Nipsla and Mation following her up. A very good idea, that. Great to meet new people and to hang out with old. Will be back.

I HAD THE BEST TIME EVER!!! :D

Even though i am tired and a bit achey i loved every minute of it, even the rain and the mud. I met lots of lovely peeps, ate bacon sarnies and cheese toasties chatted non sense, didnt fall over, drank lots of the lovely fortyniner and just had a bloody wonderful time. I didnt even mind the fact i looked like a large jelly on legs in my poncho it worked a treat thanks whisky X

Would like to say special thank you to MGO and Spangles for the job of driving in not the best circumstances there and back, a pair of troopers, thank you again xxxxxxxxxx

I enjoyed the bands, i loved physchobilly sunday (spelling is officially wonky today), i got to witness the best quiche in the world and see the creator Rita, i fell in love with a hobo called jones and in general had a bloody brilliant time and i will most certainly be there again next year....... in fact i am already excited.:D

Yes, can I thank MGO and spangles again for taking our tent and some of the other bulky stuff. You have no idea what a difference it made to getting there and back!

That was my first proper festival, and I'm glad to say it lived up to all my expectations - wind, rain, mud, mud, more mud...!

Mud aside, I had a cracking time, was great to see so many urbanites together, and TopCat's uber-tent was a godsend for collective sheltering from the rain!

The security on the main arena were a bunch of cunts - I've had less hassle getting into smart nightclubs... With hindsight, the first time I got searched I was with boohoo, so I can only assume they thought I looked dodgy by association...:hmm: :D

For anyone thinking of going for the first time to the next one, if you're at all a light sleeper I heartily recommend taking a decent supply of valium. Whoever was snoring like a hippo with a bad cold, mere feet away from my tent, owes their life to a 10mg dose. It was a case of either taking sedatives or setting about them with a rubber mallet - luckily for them, I had the drugs and it was a bit too wet outside to be bothered with wanton carnage.

Special mentions to TopCat for providing communal tent space, NVP - long time no see!, Idaho (plus all the other urbs I met for the first time but have forgotten names already...), everyone who gave me K after mine got confiscated by Nazi's, spanglechick for having easily the most gaudy, kitsch tent on site, and all the other fluffy festival people (it was a bit like a squat party without all the nasty people!)

Did anyone get to see Firky trying to put away my pop-up tent? (or did he just leave it?)

I can barely do it and I have watched the video online :D:D

Sounds like you were a bit unlucky, I didn't see them searching a single person all weekend...

Earplugs :)

In my defence it's a lot worse when I've been drinking and smoking. Sorry.

I don't mind the alcohol thing really, there were plenty of bars to choose from and a top up at my tent was never that far away
I agree. The onsite beer was good and I guess the bars have to make their money to make it worthwhile them being there. Compared to most festivals, it was easy to get served really quickly - I rarely had to wait more than a minute to get a beer.

Mind you, there was no shortage of people walking about with dubiously filled plastic containers!

I had a good time on Friday (eventually) and Sunday, although Saturday was a bit of a write-off due to the weather and having poisoned myself. Getting back yesterday was a bit of a mission - I don't think either of us was really fit to be driving to be honest. Very, very pleased I took today off.:)

Genius! Poor Jan is in w*rk. I have today off too. But then that means I get to do all the post-festival washing :D

The two ales they had were pretty nice (I liked 49er, particularly) and the Scrumpy was something else. If a tad fatal.

:D

Hehe, with help from a second friendly neighbour he managed to get it put away.

Made lots of people realise they never want to buy one :D
