Endorse it 2010

Ok my girlfriend and I are thinking about giving this one a go this year, we've never been before so have a couple of questions you vets may be able to assist with.

Firstly what time does the music finish and is there much going on after hours? Secondly the website says you can't take your own booze into the main arena, is this an absolute rule, or is the occasional blind eye turned?

Ta all.

Don't really need to take your own booze in as its fairly keenly priced anyway and if you want a home drink the tent is just 2min walk away.

This is a small festival.

Fancied a change from a big festival this year, so I'm going, with my wife and kids. Looking forward to seeing Dorset and sampling a drop of the cider :D

Cool, thanks for the reply. You also answered another question I had about how far the campsite is from the arena :)

It is very relaxed - I've never had a problem walking in with a can, although it probably does not to be too rude about it.
As mentioned the bar(s) aren't overpriced and your tent is a very short walk away as well.
I'm not sure if it's the only thing running late anymore but....
there's this fine array of entertainments to keep you stumbling and jibbering til dawn

we're well pleased with this year's line up in there, lots more than previous happening including our very own Editor, so come on down and get stupid.

Ok, I've just read the whole thread and I've come to the following conclusions:

1) The festival sounds ace, just what I'm after. Perhaps a little like the first couple of Beautiful Days but a bit more punk then crusty? ;)

2) Theres loads of entertainment (at all hours) for a small festival :)

3) The punks have grown up and got old. Tsk, demands that no young and funky people are about, complaints about about taking to long to make a cup of tea and people using cheap quality baked beens :( You lot have killed the punk spirit :D

That flyer/poster is so good! :)

No DJ Lee this year though? :(

I'm getting increasingly excited about this. Was my favourite festival last year...and only saw about 1 and a half acts. I love the way even when your in the "arena" :)D) and you need to nip back to your tent, even allowing for festival/faffing time you can be there and back in about 10 minutes. Generally got waylaid quite a bit though

Likewise, if you lose anyone, just sit down and your bound to run into them again pretty quickly.

Does anyone who's going by train want to get a groupsave ticket with me and memespring? It means 4 travel for the price of 2 so works out as £18 per person instead of £36 return? Can travel on any Off Peak service but we have to travel together.

Worryingly accute summary .... :p

You lot have killed the punk spirit :D

Nah, just wanting to avoid those boring young straight fuckers ... :D

without wanting to cause undue alarm, ticket sales are now ahead on last years sell out. If you are going to buy, please be quick :)

A card that almost certainly (as in 99% sure) promises that our tickets are ready to collect, has been delivered today by the PO. While we were both at work.

We'll collect tomorrow. Yay! :D  :)

If we get down there and it's muddy again, I suspect we'll be turning back. Van failed the MOT today due to cracked anti-roll bar which 'looks like you've been towed really fast over rough ground or something'. :D

Low chance of mud on current medium term forecasts .... see the Met Office longer term UK one, which has been unchanged for some time -- right now, the Endorse It period is looking dry/bright for the South :)

LOL Oops :D

I'm in Dorset when Endorset is on and it'd be good to break up the family shizzle with some festival action... do they do day tickets (for the Sunday)? And who can get me one (for free) Can you? :))) Pwease?
