NO!
Spot on, that's the noise. An old teasmaid.I got it. The sound reminded me of the alarm on a teasmade my parents had when I was a small child. That teasmade eventually melted, although not as a result of thermonuclear conflict.
Probably the voice read out is phone specfic. Mine displayed the message and read it out.I didn't get any voice.
Did get the alarm (which was quite loud here) but yeah I pressed ok to turn the noise off but that made the text dissappear so I don't know what it said.
Possibly because you're in the UK I'd guess.Annoyingly my message was not in French

Apparently Three is the network that's being reported as having the issues. Which ties up here whilst all 3 phones are on 3 only 1 received it. Does this tie up with others?
never had one in the house but maybe
tbf you would not mind a cup of tea if someone had just told you a nuke was on its way really
My giffgaff was fine. No, I am with giffgaff, which uses the o2 network, and no alert.
I have tracked down the model in question, it was an early 1970s one with giant lights either side.
The alarm sounds right near the end of this video, though frankly the boiling sounds were usually loud enough to wake everyone well before the alarm.
If you didn’t get the alert perhaps you’re already dead
