Emergency! Emergency! Will you get the alert?

Well that was unimpressive. We're here dropping Youngest Q off back at Uni and a dozen phones have just made a rather pitiful mewling sound for a few seconds. Lots of not very concerned young women looking bored at their phones so pretty much as normal then

Got mine on own (android) and work (i-phone) - didn't hear any voice to either

Have turned on old android phone (must be getting on for 10 years old - only keep it as an emergency spare / use it for logging on to telegram as don't want everyone who's got my mobile number to find me on there) and it's not got anything, although i only thought about turning it on after 3pm. i got the idea from somewhere that even if phone was turned off at 3pm, it would get the alert next time you switch on. maybe that phone is too old to get the alerts?

My mums phone didn't get it as on 3g. I switched her over to a 4g tarif online earlier but they didn't change it over in time.

I didn't get any voice.
Did get the alarm (which was quite loud here) but yeah I pressed ok to turn the noise off but that made the text dissappear so I don't know what it said.

Well quite, you would hope an alert would stay in your alerts. Now I'll just assume this is some mad fever dream or new symptom of the menopause.

No idea if mine had an audible alarm, was upstairs adjudicating.
Did find the text message later, but it vanished when I pressed a button.
Meanwhile they've gone out to eat Thai and I'll probably get nuked.
