Double carbs

Rice and beans. Rice and dhal. Rice or potato croquettes (done properly, at home, with loads of crumbs). Mac & cheese made with a thick layer of big fat crumbs on the top (macaroni upside-down pie?). Best ever tho is surely the mighty masala dosa (and you can argue it's a triple-carb treat if dipped in lentil gravy.)

I have some Gregg's sausage rolls in the freezer, haven't got round to it yet but have one of them earmarked for a sausage roll butty.
Utter filth but it's got to be tried I reckon. Butter, white bread, sausage roll, either brown sauce or ketchup (haven't decided which yet)

Coorrrr
Now I want one of them too

Chinese takeaway with rice, noodles and chips 😎

Bung it all in a bap and you'd be carb heaven.

I fucking love carbs! 😍

I'll probably get diabetes soon.

Good call, OH is particularly fond of having vegetable lo mein and egg fried rice (lo mein rather than chow mein cos it needs the gravy or it would be a very dry meal), I'll say I'm doing a Chinese fakeaway what do you want and it's always the double carb option :D

Edit: Actually being pedantic, that probably counts as triple carbs cos the gravy contains cornflour to thicken it

Cottage pie...with chips.

Christmas dinner here usually has carb sides of roast potatoes; mashed potatoes and potato coquettes...and bread stuffing.

Favourite is lasagne, garlic bread and chips

Those are all on my list of not only acceptable double or triple carbing, but sometimes necessary :D

I often find myself thinking "some chips would really round out that meal" when I am having cottage pie or lasagne, especially

EDIT: And yeah at Christmas all bets are off, not being religious that is to me the main point of it :D

You gotta have some protein with your carbs, or you'll just get hungry again in a couple of hours.

I personally wouldn't count sauces and what not. Double carb purity for me. E.g. Toad in the hole with mash is borderline, because I'm not sure batter counts, fish and chips doesn't.

I've just remembered the glorious Manchester chip naan. Bigger than your head. Never let you have a hangover <3

I think toad counts, 4oz flour is not to be sneezed at (or it'll go everywhere 🤣 )
And yes I learned Yorkshire batter from my dad who is old enough to only work in Imperial measurements, and I know what I am doing with that in this particular case (I am mostly metric though)
