Donald Trump - MAGAtwat news and discussion

On one level, we can laugh at the absurdity of this deranged freak, but sadly these unhinged fascist screeds have consequences. They have resulted in the judge's staff being inundated with death threats and racist abuse:

Hours earlier, a court security official said Mr Trump’s violation of his fraud trial gag order led to Justice Arthur Engoron and his staff facing hundreds of “serious and credible” threats.

Captain Charles Hollon wrote: “When Mr Trump violated the gag orders, the number of threatening, harassing and disparaging messages increased.”

Many of the threats were antisemitic and came by phone, text, email, and social media, with transcriptions of voicemails delivered to Judge Engoron’s law clerk amounting to 275 pages. The scale of the threats is part of a filing to oppose the pause of the gag order.

Anybody else, literally anybody else, would be jailed for contempt of court.

A Substack to which I subscribe attempts to refer to Trump in accurate terms each times which has led to today's:

To be clear, cognitive tests given as part of a medical exam are simply testing for obvious cognitive impairment and thus include such challenging questions such as “what month is it?” Anything other than “acing” it indicates the potential for serious problems. It’s really not the kind of thing that is worth tweeting about.

That Trump doesn't get that, says so much

Last time I had a lengthy hospital stay, every day I was asked “who is the Prime Minister?”, at which point I had to say “Boris Johnson” through gritted teeth.

I remember when he was prez and paid a Whitehouse doctor to claim he had the heart of an athlete, strength of the bear, eyes of the eagle, speed of the puma. Bravestar nonsense from a paid doc.

he claimed to be 6.3 and 215 pounds when arrested in new York this year :hmm:

It listed the height of inmate number "PO1135809" as 6 foot 3 inches (1.9 meters), his weight as 215 pounds (97 kilograms) and his hair color as either "Blond or Strawberry."

Can I point out how often your replies are barely intelligible or are we only allowed to direct pointless pedantry to those that the hive mind have deemed fair game?
I don’t find Ax any more unintelligible than anybody else. He‘s probably more intelligible than I am, if I’m brutally honest with myself. Yes, I have to occasionally mentally insert some punctuation or recognise the possibility that a word has been misspelt. So what? That’s not hard. Maybe he’s not unintelligible, maybe you’re just illiterate?

Ax's replies may occasionally be a difficult read but so what? At least they don't come across as a smug, condescending, disingenuous snide. It's an obnoxious take on someone's posting style but that's pretty much on-brand for you...

he had the CIA on speed dial

On the contrary, Trump and the CIA brass enjoyed a mutual loathing of unprecedented vehemence. They hated each other so much they literally couldn't be in the same room. The CIA believed that Trump would weaken the American empire by withdrawing from NATO:
