Thought this from Margaret Killjoy was good, although easy for me to say from the other side of an ocean:
tomorrow is going to be rough. the future is going to be rough. we can’t pretend otherwise. but they want us fleeing, they want us demoralized and terrified, and morale is a terrain of struggle.
in medieval war, most people died during a rout… while fleeing uncontrollably. when organization falls apart and “save yourself” takes over. the goal of combat was to force the enemy to rout. IF we are forced to retreat, let it be a fighting retreat, a strategic retreat.
they are attacking us, a tiny minority, because we threaten every shitty bigoted part of the status quo they are desperate to defend. if we were powerless, they would ignore us.
theyve tried to erase queer people before. they literally CANNOT succeed. we have always been here. we always will, until the sun swallows the earth.
