Donald Trump - MAGAtwat news and discussion

Yeh, he is, usually.

I saw Trump's head of policy being interviewed last night before the weirdest rally ever. He was asked about Mandelson coming in as Starmer's choice for Ambassador. Pretty clear that's not gonna do down well in the white house. I cannot believe I actually think Mandy would be a good choice. But at least he's smart. But was pretty clear he'd be not welcome. He's a slimy, sneaky politician of the highest order so you never know.

Farage clearly thinks he's basically the de facto ambassador anyway. Are any Labour politicians even there?
The fact that Mandelson is gay isn't going to go down too well with the Trump administration.

Biden just pardoned Anthony Fauci, among others - is this the first time in US history a departing president has felt it necessary to pardon a lot of people who didn't do anything wrong?

Mark Milley is the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He later called Trump a fascist and detailed Trump’s conduct around the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection. He said he was grateful to Biden for a pardon so he no longer has to worry about “retribution.”

Biden also extended pardons to members and staff of the Jan. 6 committee that investigated the attack, as well as the U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police officers who testified before the committee about their experiences that day, overrun by an angry, violent mob of Trump supporters.

The US really is a batshit mental place, if it's necessary to pardon people pre-emptively.

Thank fuck for that. How anyone cannot see how dangerous the orange turd is is beyond me. No doubt the evil one will try something else to pin on them though. He has the levers of power sewn up to do his bidding. I wish the rest of the world would ostracise the bastard, but it's very unlikely.
I wonder if he has pardoned The nutty Birx woman for crimes against tablecloths. 🤭

I've just seen that The Meidas Touch will not be live streaming the circus. As Ben stated, he craves eyeballs on him, so they're not willing to use their platform to help him. Surprisingly, Joe Rogan isn't attending either. I wonder why not, when he's a paid up maga nut who enabled the pos? Surely it can't be any reason to do with integrity?

Snoop doesn't have a principled bone in his body. Remember when he cosplayed a rasta during his 'snoop lion' phase? Never forget, just because someone makes good music, it doesnt mean they're not a bellend.
His first album gives a good indication as to why ‘pussy-grabbing’ Trump might view him as a reliable wing man

I wonder if he has concerns over what is coming up with Diddy, and is angling for a pardon?

As has already been mentioned, there is only one remaining member from the original Village People, and that original member is straight, so his cos-playing extends to his sexuality.
He did used to be married to the woman who played Bill Cosby's wife in the Cosby show. She's a massive rape apologist who still claims Bill Cosby did nothing wrong. Wonder if, during their marriage, her views rubbed off on him?

I didn't know that. I wonder if her career has bombed?

Ahem. Have you just noticed that the US is batshit? The whole country is like a weird screwed up family.

I have spent a fair bit of time there. Was married to one of them (who owes me a beer or two for getting her the fuck out of there). It was fucking NUTS. they're nuts. Part of me wants China or anyone to actually up their game and challenge the fuckers. Don't get me wrong, I've had some amazing times there but watching that shit last night - no, I've not wanted a bomb to fall as much on one venue since the coronation of our gracious King.

And yeh I've already started gettin boozed to get through this.

I see his latest grift has sold-out already:

And the BBC gave its "publisher" effectively a free advertising spot in its coverage.

Dunno if this counts as irony or what, but I reckon that if I was someone who did believe that Fauci was part of some evil conspiracy, I would 100% take this news as being proof of my views. IF YOU'VE GOT NOTHING TO HIDE YOU'VE GOT NOTHING TO FEAR etc.

No sign of him pardoning that Tiger King guy yet? First he was kissing Trump's arse for a pardon, then he was kissing Bidon's arse for one. He'll probably reimplant his lips back in Trump's crack, again.

Watching his smug gloating mug and listening to him brag makes me want to scream. I can't believe America's given this dangerous lunatic another term in power.

I feel so sorry for all the Americans who didn't vote for him and they must be pretty worried right now.

Terrified. Not just for myself, but all of the LGBTQ and trans folks I know. They're lining up to send them all back in the closet, while trying to send women back to the kitchen.

I hope Jack Smith remains safe. I wonder if he refused a pardon, as he is number one on the monster's hit list? To accept a pardon, is I believe, tantamount to accepting you've done something wrong, even though none of those pardoned have. They probably thought it was wiser to lie about their guilt than to be left at the mercy of a madman. I really fear for Smith's safety. If the beast doesn't get him banged up, one of his nuts will try to take him out. Perhaps he's returned to the Hague?

Don't know about anyone else but I'm having an ignorguration. Aint gonna watch Orange 47 and assorted sycophantic weirdoes talking shit all day, we've got 4 years of it.

I decided not to turn the television on or watch anything politically related today. I'm working on art/craft projects in honor of a trans friend of mine. She didn't make it to the end of last year due to a cancer we thought she'd beat that came back. Her last words to us were a response to Trump's election. She said that the answer to any question about how to respond to the events unleashed today was to "Make art. Make art. Make art."

Thought this from Margaret Killjoy was good, although easy for me to say from the other side of an ocean:

tomorrow is going to be rough. the future is going to be rough. we can’t pretend otherwise. but they want us fleeing, they want us demoralized and terrified, and morale is a terrain of struggle.
in medieval war, most people died during a rout… while fleeing uncontrollably. when organization falls apart and “save yourself” takes over. the goal of combat was to force the enemy to rout. IF we are forced to retreat, let it be a fighting retreat, a strategic retreat.
they are attacking us, a tiny minority, because we threaten every shitty bigoted part of the status quo they are desperate to defend. if we were powerless, they would ignore us.
theyve tried to erase queer people before. they literally CANNOT succeed. we have always been here. we always will, until the sun swallows the earth.

I was against this. It makes all of the look guilty of something... anything. And Trump will use it to justify pardoning the J6 insurrectionists.

Of course I've not just noticed... :hmm: but there's no doubt that with Trump at the helm last time, it moved at least two standard deviations away from normality... and it's only going to get significantly worse.

Enjoy getting hammered but when you wake up tomorrow and discover it wasn't all just a bad dream... 🤭

Shall we have a bit of the fabulous Randy, reacting to De Satan in Florida? I feel the need for this in light of what is coming for many minorities.

Biden's statement:

These public servants have served our nation with honor and distinction and do not deserve to be the targets of unjustified and politically motivated prosecutions.

...Baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety, and financial security of targeted individuals and their families. Even when individuals have done nothing wrong—and in fact have done the right thing—and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage reputations and finances.

That is why I am exercising my authority under the Constitution to pardon General Mark A. Milley, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the Members of Congress and staff who served on the Select Committee, and the U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police officers who testified before the Select Committee. The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense. Our nation owes these public servants a debt of gratitude for their tireless commitment to our country.

There's definitely some downsides but I think I might have done the same thing in his shoes - people who think Fauci belongs in prison wouldn't have changed their minds if Trump hadn't pardoned him, and Trump would have pardoned the J6 crowd whatever happened.
