I didn't watch to the end. How much is he hawking all that crap for or is he just showing off?
He's a reviewer for an audiophile mag apparently. IIRC the amps etc that the camera guy was getting all short of breath over are on loan for review and the speakers, another load of hifi clobber and all the esoteric crap (like record flatteners and demagnetisers) is his to show off with.

Ooooh, I think I caught a glimpse of my favourite ever bit of hifi twattery towards the end, looks like he has several Hallograph Soundfield Optimisers :D

seems legit

It was interesting that he mentioned towards the end some kind of work in progress where he is ripping his LPs into digital format. Maybe he's getting fed up with all the messing around?

You must be kidding. Imagine the kind of crap people like that will do to the innards of their PC's :D

A whole new market opens! Super clean hard drives! Gold SATA cables! Gold USB cards and USB sticks! Fan, Filter and Temperature control systems to ensure that your hard drive doesn't expand and go out of shape causing the music to be changed! Filters to keep the air in your computer dust free to prevent interference!

We're in the money on this one

edit: damn you joustmaster! I typed too much.

you could easily replace the psu in a pc with one similar to the veloso-magic-hyper-supplies that he had in the video. 10 grand.

and just imagine all the cable stands you could cramp in to a pc, to keep their electromagnetic fields properly unentangled and aligned.

oh, and you need some kind of demagnitiser because magnets wipe hard drives and you might lose some of the 1s and 0s to background magnetism, not many, just enough to make your soundscape not quite so warm as you might like it, you know like when it gets cold and it all gets a little tight.

I hope you got the directional ones otherwise you'll have terrible word muddiness and possibly distorted pulse jitter.

Actually just for the record it's 3 BNC and 3 S/Pdif cables and that price includes PnP and customs duty from the states, they come from the company that makes my audio clock/audio interfaces ( Black Lion Audio) and I'm getting them because the BNC cables that I got from RS ( £4.50 each) introduced jitter, after discussions with the company they assured me that their cables would cure it or they would refund the cost, supposedly it is a common problem with cheaper BNC cables and after the electrical engineer from work showed me proof that sometimes 75ohm BNC cables aren't actually 75 ohm at all ( all 3 of the RS cables were reading different resistances).

:/
I'm about to go to RS buy some bits to make my own, thanks for cheering me up

OK, I'll bite. Why are you using external clocks?
