Digital DJ’s of urban…

tbh, I've bot heard one latley but it's widely reported that most of the newish mixers or controllers have poor phono pre amps.

something to do with pioneer wanting people to buy more digital stuff which i find kinda strange as they also do a range of turntables

Some of the older controllers have poor pre amp (I have an SR2, Serato controller with pre amps, designed purely for DVS, records sound terrible), but the newer ones sound good. There's a lot of nonsense spouted online.

plus I don't like the mixer section, I much prefer allen & heath

I used to have a Xone64 with CDJ's, sure they do give an inner sense of elitism (my ears aren't good enough to notice the audio benefits) which was worth it's weight in gold against all my basic mates that all had the DJM600...But the headphone cue system was utter utter pony, especially for mixing at home. Not being able to pre mix in headphones gradually is not only really restricting, it just screams design arrogance that they don't think DJ's need it so won't allow it. How anyone fucked up the simple 2 knobs and channel cue buttons that pioneer does is beyond me

i think the most important thing is having kit that suits what you do and want to do and above all gives you the most pleasure
i.e
if you want to start playing out at venues that only have CDJs then getting compatible with that is important
how important is having a big screen
how much do you love a particular mixers action + effects etc etc

tiny differences in sound quality are low on the list for me

At the level of kit we’re talking about here, “sound quality” really isn’t a thing. It’s all as good as DJ kit gets. Any slight differences vanish the moment you connect it all up, start mixing and apply effects.
