Did Jesus die on a cross or a T?

Wine, central heating, a legal system, a functioning political system (mostly), olives, a disciplined citizens army, pensions, aqueducts, etc etc. That's why they used the tactic of offering the benefits of Roman lifestyle to the ruling class of those they conquered, live in a mud hut drinking filthy ale or in a warm villa with a nice Chianti, a no brainer.

Jesus died in a car crash.

It has been proven. Most believe it was an Austin Maxi hitting a tree with the man himself at the wheel sober.

Gotta love that expression, under those circumstances.

What's your point? What "easy target" are you talking about? Christianity? Last I checked it was still a global religion with billions of adherents and a fundamentalist streak that still causes real harm.

"Easy target", seriously get the fuck over yourself. You gonna whinge about how we never criticise Islam next or what?

That 'we' is quite telling.

"Jesus Christ" .. a made up character since 90AD .. no cross, no T, the only real people who died on that hill that day were thieves.

The cat fears the pigeons.

What really pisses me off is that this Jesus bod supposedly "died" for our sins (or rather Eve's - the first human to think for herself), but apparently we still aren't off the hook and have to somehow genuinely believe a load of ancient crap for the rest of our lives for the privilege of not being tortured for ever, but instead getting to be shacked up with the torturer for eternity.
