I caught a US Osprey low over work last week - Now that was an interesting aircraft sound and by the looks of it, it had just taken off from the local airport. I've only occasionally seen them at moderate height on the military flightpath that runs parallel to Aberdeen and heads towards Lossiemouth and places north before.
Evil looking thing though.

I didn’t get a picture of this but there was an event at Duxford today involving the Victor they’ve been refurbishing, there were a number of veterans there for a reception. As far as I could gather the plane wasn’t open to the public as it was in a separate hanger.
