They also do an excellent cod and chip.
Interested...do you really refer to it as chip in the singular or is that a typo and missing an 's'?
Reason I ask is because I've heard a lot of people in Manchester refer to 'crisp' in the same way.

You are correct - people who think the brioche buns you get with burgers are sweet, are either using the wrong buns or have malfunctioning tastebuds.Maybe my taste buds are wacked, but when I picked up brioche buns in Aldi recently to give it a go they didnt taste sweet at all. I thought brioche just meant it was made with butter and the sugar was optional?
See, you're a wrong-'un. Mince has to be thoroughly cooked. After all this discussion about the bun component, how do you feel about the cooking of the burger itself? I like mine slightly under done, sort of medium rare, a little pink in the middle and some juices running if possible. The burgers in many places are overcooked in my opinion.
It's not a steak. I don't want my minced meat of unknown origin to be raw in the middle.

And? Does knowing where they come from prevent bacteria on the surface from being mushed into the middle when it's minced? The burgers that I use come from a known source. I also know how they are made.
I'd eat it. Onions, capers but not the parsley. My wife would be very upset with me for doing so. She would probably watch me like a hawk for a few days until she was certain I wasn't going to die.

A bit gloopy if I am honest, it didn't firm up enough, it was still pliable.Sounds tasty, how was it?. I have tried to make bean burgers in the past but they never turned out good.
