Burger Thread. Yes!

Maybe my taste buds are wacked, but when I picked up brioche buns in Aldi recently to give it a go they didnt taste sweet at all. I thought brioche just meant it was made with butter and the sugar was optional?

You are correct - people who think the brioche buns you get with burgers are sweet, are either using the wrong buns or have malfunctioning tastebuds.
 
After all this discussion about the bun component, how do you feel about the cooking of the burger itself? I like mine slightly under done, sort of medium rare, a little pink in the middle and some juices running if possible. The burgers in many places are overcooked in my opinion.
See, you're a wrong-'un. Mince has to be thoroughly cooked.
 
Having lazy frozen chicken quarter pounders today. Served in cheesy rolls with mayo, a suggestion of cheese and spinach.

Buttered the rolls :hmm:
