Feeling hungry? This burger should fill you up. Marks and Spencer has launched the 'Daddy of all Burgers'.
The absolutely colossal burger weighs in at 1kg , which is more than 8 quarter pounders, and is ideal for sharing at summer parties - or keep it for yourself, we won't judge.
You don't even need to add cheese or bacon, as the 'Daddy of all Burgers' is filled with creamy cheese sauce and tender BBQ pulled beef , then wrapped in streaky bacon rashers.
It'll set you back £8.50 , which is more than your average burger but this isn't your average burger. You can even get a giant burger bun to put it in for £1.50.
We recommend at least four servings, but it will stretch further as part of your summer feast and can even be served as a tasty canapé. The tender pulled BBQ beef and creamy cheese sauce hidden centre adds that extra wow-factor to an already show-stopping centrepiece!
I love burgers (don’t get me wrong)....but....i hate this 500ft tall monstrosities you can’t fit in your mouth ! I’ve been thinking about this problem and i think i have the answer! Make the bun’s circumference larger!! And pack the toppings in randomly on the burger. I’m going to make millions.
It's always been shite.I agree 100%. Bun goes soggy often and you can't get the full experience with each bite.
I've already made that suggestion on this very thread!
I’ve picked up a lot of Canadian culinary habits while i’ve been here(7 years). Hot sauce on eggs? Great. Montreal smoked meat? Amazing! Don’t get pickles on burgers though. I’m hoping to become a citizen next year (maybe it’ll start to make sense after i take the oath!).Love 'em. But then I'm Canadian, so take that as you will.
Agree. Strange. Jalapeños yes. Pickles no.Pickled 'gherkins' are not something I would choose or add to my own burger. Can eat them but they don't add anything (for me) to the taste.
Pickled jalapeños are a joy in a burger. As are raw or cooked onions.
The lad who sits next to me had a Big Mac and fries every day last week.
So far he has had one both days this week.

I had a battered burger once. It was as you'd expect really - tasty but filthy and followed by shame and regret. That sense of overwhelming grease after. Much the same experience wise as eating a battered sausage. Had burger pie once too, that was also dirty.Thinking back I had a Scottish mate who used to eat battered burgers. Not with the bun, but still. To me a burger is grilled, so some of the fat drains off (not to much obviously). Deep fried its more like a sponge.
