Some people are funny about basmati rice, some brands are supposedly better than others*, so it might not be comparing like with like in terms of quality, ie the cheaper per kilo small bags might be inferior quality basmati rice to the big sacks, which might still be a good deal for that brand.Although at my local big Tesco they sell the 10-20kg bags of Basmati rice but the per-kilo cost works out higher than buying individual kilos. Banking on people being bad at maths, maybe?
