Could lucky Brixton make it two in a row in national Christmas TV competition?
Schools could have their Christmas play televised to the nation & work with TV’s Stephen Mulhern
Primary schools in Brixton and South London are being invited to enter their Christmas play into Virgin Media’s national TV competition, to repeat the success the capital had last year.
In 2018, Corpus Christi Primary School reached the final of the Christmas Stars competition, which is again giving schools the opportunity to have their festive play televised to the nation this Christmas.
The school received £100 for being a runner up with their rhyming nativity play which boasted a huge cast of 115 children, including 24 narrators, three Marys and three Josephs.
Brixton and South London’s primary schools now have the chance to continue the capital’s success in 2019’s competition, and they could scoop the top prize and have their Christmas production being made available, via On-Demand, to four million Virgin TV customers over the festive season.
As part of the money-can’t-buy prize, the winning school will work with TV presenter, Stephen Mulhern, who will join the children live on stage and narrate their play in a one-off performance.
Schools can enter the competition via
www.virginmedia.com/christmas and submit either an original play or one of the fantastic festive tales available from
Out of the Ark, one of the UK’s biggest retailers of plays and music for schools. The competition closes on Tuesday 19 November 2019.
