We've finally chosen a name. Despite going round the houses with all sorts of fanciful ideas, we've decided to Ronseal it and go for "South London Makerspace" which is now a registered company. Still aiming for this space in Loughborough Junction, which we should be hearing back from any day now. We could be hitting the ground running quite soon
We're this close to securing a space, at which point I'll start a new thread, but in the mean time, we're having a public meeting/making day next Saturday, the 26th. The idea is to bring laptops, tools and whatever you're working on for a day of making, sharing and showing. At lunchtime, we'll give a short presentation of where we are and what we're doing, and getting feedback. If you're at all interested in seeing this thing get off the ground, please come along and lend your voice.
