Never a bad idea to go to festivals on your own, IME you end up making much more effort to get friendly and chatting with people 
This one's still on our wishlist, £££s and logistics depending though, so we're delaying the decision for now..

Thats alright, ive only ever done one on my own, my second glastonbury when i was 17
Im hopefully working at boomtown so hope ill meet some people doing that

is that run by the people who run the invisible circus down in bristol?

Yes The Invisible circus are bringing the highflying showcase spectacular that is Carniville out of the city and into the countryside for the first time (carny village)
The invisible's have been with us since the start but never have they taken things to this level at a festival so we are all pretty damm excited to see what they come up with

The website is fine www.boomtownfair.co.uk - It will definitely happen....has been running for last 2 years and has sold out in advance each year !!!

BOOMTOWNS LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
Push passed the vines and clamber over the trucks of giant trees, long dead now, for a second you'd swear you were deep in the amazon discovering a long lost Mayan civilisation. Just then, you remember the porter potties and 5 man tents and your back in the room! aswell as a beautifully constructed scene of over-grown rambling forest and amazing tropical flowers there is a well stocked shop of all things underground and lovely hippy trinkets to peruse through. theres is also rig in there somewhere! and a line up of some of the UKs best dance music producers along with World class artists performing on a crystal clear Funktion1 Sound System, all in a jungle den wonderland. Working with our Cam-Unity youth outreach programme to bring all kinds of new talent to the fore and a range of workshops from music production and graffiti, to felting and pottery to reiki and yoga, Uprizing at BOOM TOWN FAIR is set to be a one-off experience not to be missed!

Wahey, i was a bit scared about how id cope without any dance.
never fear!!! the main emphasis has always been on live stuff IMO but you can always find some secret mini venues playing the bangin tunes somewhere!!!

hey mr eager young bunny with woads and woads of wacky mates! it has got nothing to do with post count or being allowed.
do you think a small group of people involved in a what looks like a good little festival (who joined the boards to promote it) continually gushing about how great it is will encourage more people here or put them off? i think that you will already have some posters from here going and are at risk of nauseating them.
i understand that it is your baby and you have been involved and it will all be building up to it now and it is summer etc
all i said was that there was no need to keep spamming and bumping, and if you read the faq you are not allowed to promote no, a lot of people would have been banned and the thread deleted so that goes to show (imo of course) that 1. recydrate/boomtown is already respected and 2. the line up and previous festy's mean that posters here are attracted/considering it/got tickets.
do you understand what i mean now?

ye totally understand where you are comming from buddy, however i think you are reading slightly to far into it i only found out about this forum because when you google boomtown fair the forum comes up at the top of page 1 so i'm guessing other peeps did the same, thus ended up joining in the fun this year! every poster needs to start from somewhere! beansmall is a mate of mine but i don't think i know anyone else on the whole board ,
We work at festivals all round the country every year and have done most of life but feel really strong about the way this one is heading is all!
My 2 posts on this thread have simply been infomation...which i guess is promotion but which in my opinion is the reason for the thread!

its not. youre meant to be part of the community here, and any promotions on the side are on the side. you're only here to promote. so its spam.
as ddraig said, its likely its only been allowed to go on so far for the reasons given, but it is getting a bit evangelical and happy clappy now. its a fine art is spamming!
