Best time to hit the 'Reduced To Clear' section?

I have loads of wonderful things from the REAL PRICE SECTION, I do every week but can't bring myself to post on this thread with details ever again because I truly hate the title of the thread. You know us sensitive types! :)

Tesco about half an hour before closing today, got a couple of pots of tomato couscous down from £1.30 to 10p and some beetroot, bean and mint houmous for the same. There was loads of other stuff at 10p too but I'm going away Tuesday and I need to watch my weight between now and then so had to leave it. Got more free range chicken breasts for the freezer too, all £5.30ish down to £1.50ish.

There's loads of meat and fat on a duck.
I thought so too. After the two big ones I bought I swore I'd never buy another but a few months later I was forced to buy another as it had an 80% discount yellow sticker on it and I couldn't bring myself to leave it there.;) Same again, nothing on it. I honestly would not buy another now, no matter how cheap it was.

Funny thing though. You can also buy Gressingham duck legs for about a fiver for two. There's loads of meat on those, but not on the full ducks.

See how you go mate, but that's my experience.:)

Brixton M&S, yellow sticker on fancy meat loaf thing in sauce - reduced from £5.50 to £1.65. (at 3:30pm ish)
use by date today now in the freezer. Loads of fresh herbs for only 30p

I must have been lucky - I got a huge amount of meat. Much bigger than a chicken innit.

It's amazing how frustrating it is to have to pay 5p for a plastic bag for this lot :)

Having reorganised my freezer, it will be interesting to see if the salmon fillets from last September that I'm defrosting will be ok tomorrow night...

I have a freezer full of faggots (35p a packet!), some sandwiches for lunch tomorrow (45p each), some posh pastries (39p each), some crinkly cabbage (10p), brocolli (15p) and some heston chocs (£2).

you in Wales then or are they charging for bags in England as well now?

ox cheek is cropping up a lot atm. Which is good, cause it's delicious - I made a banging casserole with some at the weekend.

or when roasted on a spit? Cow heart is called oxheart most of the time too, mind. and liver. probably 'cause it was the cuts for the poor who kept the old english names while the norman conquerers feasted on boef.

Tramps buffet iis dangerous when you're sick & miserable. Stopped off at Tesco last night & they had a luxury hot chocolate fudge cake pudding reduced from £4 to 32p!!!! I almost fought someone to get to it first.

You know them fucks who try to block the TB shelves with their trolleys? Well I just grab their trolley and shove it half way down the aisle whilst politely saying "excuse me"

Great haul yesterday. Rump steak (2), pork meatballs, a chicken, chicken breast, bag of salmon fillets and veal burgers. We had to defrost a whole duck and a gammon joint for today and tomorrow to make room in the freezer.

At the till the woman serving me said 'That's the last of those [salmon fillets]. There were four bags and a woman took three but said she felt guilty taking them all.'

Anonymous salmon-buying woman, I salute you.
