There's at least three riffs in that song. If you're talking about the one that appears at the beginning (and is dotted throughout the song) it's another four bar monstrosity and because of that it's not used to back Ozzy that's a definite weakness I think. I think with the shorter riffs it's really difficult doing something new and sparky but they're usually what's needed and creating a good one is where the real genius is.

But yes there is some awesome riffing there.

Similar thing with War Pigs. The riff that's at actually used as the bread and butter of the song is not the one anybody remembers.

I was just skipping through some Ride The Lightning / Master of Puppets era Metallica to find something suitable for the thread, but the riffing is all so good I couldn't choose.
