Athletics - Running and Jumping and Throwing and stuff!

My remote isn't fully operative, ie the buttons don't match their function.

List of channel numbers for olympic stuff?

Do you have Freeview?

BBC1 and BBC2 (often switches between the two)
BBC3 (No.7)

and Nos. 301 and 302. (302 doesn't start 'til after 7.00pm)

oh, and Channel 80 for News 24

Huge respect to Kirani James for the way he immediately turned around to shake the hand of every other runner before celebrating.

He exchanged name 'badges' with Pistorius after the semi as well? Seemed a good lad in the interview after that race when he was asked about it too

Yes, that was him and he was very complimentary about Pistorius.
Seems like a right good egg all round.

I think I have since the digital thingy. I'll try again. It's awkward with a stoopid remote.

Bad luck Dai Greene, tried his best though

Let himself down with his "i'm feeling a bit tired" interview tho. Why the fuck are you tired, youve trained for 4 years for this week, you knew what you were gonna ahve to do, and your tired cos youve run twice in 3 days!ffs

If this Olympics has taught us anything it is that the cyclists and rowers know when to peak, they have not been dominanat in world cups and stuff sicne beijing, but by christ they have got it right when it matters. the athletes and swimmers on the other hand have spunked their lottery funding against the wall in comparison.

I can't remember the exact quote but the trainer for Ogogo, the boxer, said something to today him like "you're tired? Do you want to win that medal? You ain't tired"

He's coming back from injury.

Also, rowing and velodrome cycling are far smaller sports than athletics and swimming. Far easier to throw money at those sports and come up with medals. tbh getting to the final of many athletics events is harder than winning some other events.

Give me a fking break. How many times do some of the orwers row in the space of 3 days? and he cant run twice in 3 days!

Sometimes you try your best and someone else wins. Everyone is trying their best.

Well done on doing it. I'm sure he's gutted, but there were better athletes out there on the day. That's all.

I refer you back to the previous point. He's coming back from injury.

hardly!

On the injuries which troubled him over the winter, he said: “It certainly affected my build-up – it meant I couldn’t start until halfway through January instead of October time, but I I can’t argue too much, I had a personal best a few weeks ago.
