Are You "Anyone But England"?

I don't know why you might be bitter. But if you search this thread for only your posts and read them and be honest about the tone of all of them, maybe you'll see how you are coming across.
so another one accusing me of bitterness but can't say why or where!!
and of course you're going to avoid the rest of my previous reply to you, sigh

so you can only support other teams and be ABE if you keep quiet about it? don't upset englund fans or face the wrath and ridicule? so easily upset aren't you
The way in which you so resolutely mischaracterise the things other people say, usually by converting their position into a binary black/white position from your own perspective, is scarily consistent over the long term. Perhaps that's why you come across as bitter.

over and over and over with no evidence apart from not liking my posts
even taking glee at me just responding when you quote me, quite odd!
Think about it for a second... I'm an Irish person, and I think your bitterness and hatred of the English is both sad and pathetic. That should tell you all you need to know.

I don't have bitterness and hate for the english, how ever many times you say it IT IS NOT TRUE
your pathetic attempts to paint me as something i'm not are just that, pathetic

I thought there was some doubt that he'd even recorded that. Although I'd heard that it was nearly adopted as the Welsh national team's anthem for the 1986 World Cup, so it is vaguely relevant here.
yeh the confusion was around the fact that yurts created the music using a computer and the day after the studio do spilled a pint of lager over the computer, killing it, so he was never able to reproduce the sound

I am sure many of us, at some point in our early lives, have fallen into the hole of generally pissing off almost everyone around us, and interpreting their reactions as 'the whole world is against me.'

But, then you engage your brain, and realise that something else was going on, and you change your ways, it's all part of growing up.

As a colleague of mine puts it, at the point where you realise that the same things keep happening in different situations with different people, you have to start asking "what's my 50%?" - ie., what is the contribution I am making to the situation? That takes a level of courage that lots of people just don't have.

During the game last night I was astonished to find out how small the population of Croatia is. They've set the bench mark for small countries imo . Question is if they can perform like that why can't the Scots, Ireland and Wales?

Or indeed England.
:D
Of course but its not just this world cup. Croatia have consistently qualified for the finals since leaving Yugoslavia and in the 2016 Euros topped their group putting Spain in second place and only lost to the eventual winners Portugal in extra time.Puts the rest of our home nation and Republic sides in the shade tbh. Must be some reason for this.

Socialist legacy takes a while to wear off even with old fascists running the show.

When Uruguay won the World Cup in 1950 (for the second time) its population was 2.2 million.

There’s is some fascinating stuff out there on the gerrymandering of the Yugoslavia squads over the years by the almost exclusively Serbian coaches and staff - it is not unreasonable to say that Serbs were always over represented and underperforming, with the Croats the exact opposite. The size of the croatia members probably helped in their performance
