You know I could swear that the guy on the right wearing the hat looks like his head has been Photoshopped in. The hat especially looks weirdly sharp-focused compared to everything else in the photo.

That's because the photographer has set the focusing distance on McCarthy's head, which is roughly the same distance from the camera as the guy in the hat, hence them both being in sharp focus.

Yes. Joined yesterday.

Likewise, after months of saying absolutely not. I've done it because despite acknowledging the inefficacy of parliamentary politics in bringing the glorious revolution I want to at least show support for the only opportunity there has been in some time for getting non-shitehawk talking points on the msm menu.

What I do in the medium to long term is uncertain.

Did the same earlier and put that as the reason in the "why are joining box"

I was previously a member until Clause 4 was removed.

Considering the shenanigans I remember hearing about during the last Labour leadership contest, I wonder if stating that sort of thing outright on your application is wise.

Welcome to the Labour Party. Thank you so much for joining — it's wonderful to have you with us.

The Labour Party always embodies the value of equality, fairness and social justice

I've checked my landline, no funny clicks when I pick it up so don't think it is tapped...

They don't have to tap your phone line if you state your intentions outright to them in a direct communication, genius.

3000 people were refused a vote in the Labour leadership election last time. I'm not inclined to believe that all or even most of them were secret Tories or otherwise disingenuous in their intentions. It strikes me as naive in the extreme to believe that the Blairites in the party aren't willing to play dirty.
