Indonesian's do an amazing 'bubur' rice porridge. All kinds of flavours, both savoury and sweet.
as for crumble, gotta be custard, but below the dessert. Not making the topping soggy.
I taught English to loads of Spanish teenagers years ago every Summer.
They used to fill their suitcases with Angel Delight sachets on the way home. They loved it!

Angel Delight is pretty foul now, but I used to like it as a kid.
I remember getting this powdered apple drink from what must have been a forerunner of Poundland or something when I was a teenager - it came in a box and you just added water. I loved it - tangy and full of chemicals, and disturbingly green. I'd like to try that again but have never seen it anywhere.

Just had a look and loads of types of powdered apple drink are on sale - but I can't remember what the packaging looked like so I've no idea if any are similar. Might buy some to try out.Probably classed as toxic waste these days.
