Anyone absolutely sick of "going for a walk?"

No amount of good cheer or goretex can change the fact that walking round my boring-ass neighbourhood in weather like that is miserable as fuck
I hear you, how about switching to a bike then? Can go a lot further, perhaps somewhere a bit nicer? This is what I've been doing but realised I need to walk more.

I miss my countryside walks and watching the seasons change in daily increments. :(

When I left the ferns were just emerging from tightly tucked up nodules with slow shy creaking stretches and by the time I go back they will have suddenly jumped from that to fully flung out fronds.

I went for a walk around Gunnersbury Park this afternoon. It's actually a terrific park plus the weather was good. I'm not super keen on Gunnersbury ("west Chiswick") as an area generally but I wasn't there as part of a borough evaluation, I just liked walking amongst the wildflowers and gardens. I had to take a half day off and make actual plans to do that but I can say that I wasn't sick of it.

Today, I walked directly from work (downhill!! :D ) to a work-local called The Red Lion -- it had a reasonable choice of beer on, and although it was a bit too chilly for its garden :(, it was quiet, with people sitting well away from each other inside, and very near the bus stop home ....

I had to take a mid shift lunch today and went for a lovely walk, which took just shy of an hour. Haven't done a lot of walking recently and
realised that on my own, I get bored quite easily as I much prefer a jog.

Walking is now lovely again because it’s not walking and Lidl being the only sanctioned activitiesI dislike
I dislike shopping, I am bored of shopping, it is vomit inducing going shopping seeing all the shit that people waste their money on and really don't need,
especially at this time of the year.

Yours

Ebenezer.

:)
I'm a little bit addicted to walking now and I've just had the best part of a week off from it (due to a caring responsibility peak) and missed it badly. Today I got out on Riddlesdown and, grey as it was with lowering cloud, I loved it.
Is that Happy Valley?
