Anyone absolutely sick of "going for a walk?"

It got insanely awful for a while but the last month I've been forcing myself to go new places I've not been yet because I assumed they were shit never-ending suburban hellscapes and it's gotten a lot better again

Considering going for a walk, it may take about an hour so that would be me coming home at about 13:30 which is fine. I want to watch the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral later. Sunny out but cold inside, should I take a coat? Larry wants a walk!

In the end I watched the funeral and then went out later. Funeral seemed about right, just imagine what it could have been like without covid, every seat would have been taken and it would have been much less personal.

Nice walk, half way through I went for a lie down to straighten my back as usual and this time I could really feel it being pushed straight, not sure that is so healthy, don't want to do myself an injury.

Yep. Fed up to the back teeth with "going for a walk". I've walked round the poxy block at lunchtime, been to to the scout camp and back, and round the fucking golf course so often I have fucking had it.

We did a "pretty way" (long) walk to the pub yesterday, and there was a fucking queue when we got there. I'm walking straight down the hill tomorrow, and I'll be at a table half an hour before the pub opens.

i got fed up going for a walk during the winter. Still waiting for it to properly warm up. I have become pathetically sensitive to winter and the cold now, thanks to the horrible one we've just had

I love going for walks. Urban walks local or in new areas of London exploring, or out in the middle of nowhere getting some fresh air. Also love the rain 😁

I've been cycling throughout and now feel the need to walk more!! I might take up running again.

Fitness is good but cycling exercises a very specific muscle set.

I'm still completely fucking sick of it. In fact I think the blossom appearing and disappearing earlier this year was basically to take the piss.
Same. All walked out. Something I used to love has a shit load of pandemic grimness spread all over it. I will probably start enjoying it again when other areas of my life pick up again.

Next week I am going to the Peak District and sleeping in a caravan and I'll be going for a PROPER walk!
On my kid free days I often used to drive out to the country with the os map and spend a day rambling. Every cell in my body is resistant of that idea now. That's how much this winter has sapped the joy of it. I need to sit in warm places with people, to connect with folk, maybe have a bit of sex now and then lol, to watch films, go to the theatre. Smell perfume and after shave in the city streets on a Friday night, that Friday night atmosphere.

Once that's in place I'll be back rambling the shit out of Sussex and Surrey.

This winter has been tough.

I walked from west norwood to Brixton tonight and it was a strong 3 out of ten in terms of enjoyment!

I know what you mean. I haven't got a car so options of places to walk have been limited to where I can get to. I will have had one jab by next week so if I am feeling ok about it, I may actually go in a pub and have a drink in the evening. The theatre seems like a dream far far away.

My enthusiasm for walking round the same back streets over and again waned very quickly in the first weeks of lockdown 1.

But I've been in the countryside with access to a car for the last 3 months and being able to drive 2 mins to the woods or hills then have a short or long walk has been great and I'm going to miss it terribly.
