Ange, Ange . . . When will those clouds all disappear?: Glasgow Celtic 2021/22

I was expecting the worst. I couldn't get my head round Celtic fans expecting a 3-1 or a 4-0 Celtic win. Pure wishful thinking. Disappointed by the result but Celtic's a work in progress . . . famous last words.

Diet Hun?

'fraid I don't like Hearts. Never have.

Eta: I originally posted that pic as a jokey riposte to your gentle teasing. I'd seen that picture loads of times before it was only now that I noticed the detail on that scarf. I do think it screams Diet Hun. A Red Hand of Ulster patch and a Union Jack patch on a Hearts scarf? FFS.

I'm still confused by the term 'Diet Hun'. I've never heard it before.

It is gentle teasing on my part, because it is only football, of no importance in the great scheme of things.

I wish I could say I invented it but it's been doing the rounds for years. It's applied to those non-Rangers fans in Scotland who sometimes like to echo the sectarian shite usually associated with the team from Govan. Sadly, Hearts do have a minority of those types of fans.

eta: Found this old thread on a football forum from 2010 which mentions the term. Admittedly, it's a Hibs forum. ;)

Sectarianism is Scotland's abiding shame.

As someone originally from the East End of Glasgow from a half and half family, I've never really got my head around it.

Football sectarianism. My daughter's neighbour is a policewoman. When Rangers play Celtic, they double the people on duty, and have more in reserve.

Domestic violence goes up fourfold. Just take a moment and think about that, people assault their partner because their football team lost. How utterly and absolutely pathetic.

Edouard scores within 27 seconds of coming on for Palace against Spurs. Bags a second goal five minutes later.

We have Ajeti starting up front.

Great start but old failings bubbling under the surface then exploding through like a breaching whale.
