sod pm's heres the team
we have a pretty full quota which is great, as it means tired legs can get a chance of a rest, hopefully! looking back on past training, discussions on this thread and using my expert managerial skills
I have come up with the following team
tony
brixton hatter -- relahni -- ld rudeboy
sleaterkinney -- chrisfilter
flimsier
i want ringo to come on as sub for sleater at half time, save on sleaters “rusty legs” and ensure everyone gets a run out before saturday. also, if flimsier’s foot starts playing up rather than push it too hard before saturday, i’d rather he came off at half time, chris move forward and ringo’s slot into left midfield….
if lurk does make it, we can sub the goalie at half time too if need be
i want the three degrees at the back to hold firm. nothing against a few runs up if the opportunity arises, but gotta get into practice of having a backline of defence. communication is key. if you go on a run, ensure your position is covered by the remaining two defenders, and don’t go all “headless chicken” there must be an end to your journey, preferably to the midfield /forwards. once you let the ball go, you’re priorty is to track back to defence
midfield/ forwards, make space and don’t panic on the ball. Keep it flowing and look at who is around you and where you can position yourself best to receive the ball or pass it on
goalkeeper- dont let any goals in
above all, enjoy tomorrows game. friendly is the key word here guys, no heroics, no stressheads, just enjoy the chance to play together as a TEAM before saturday. the guys of recereativo are looking forward to meeting us and see it as a sociable exercise as much as anything else. no injuries, no squaring up, just smiles and football (we’re save the scary antics till saturday
)
sound fair?
