This is a bit of a long shot I know but hopefully someone will know more than me (and the thread should be in threads & dreads I know but I wasn't convinced many people would see it there ;) ) . . .where to look/get old skool adidas trainers?

Places I've tried for the ones I want: zappos, ebay, size?, frontier-i.

Ta :)

You could try the Adidas Originals store.

Earlham Street
Covent Garden

Adidas

I also find Offspring usually have a good selection of retro Adidas too.

ETA: they haven't anything online at the moment but it's always worth keeping an eye on oki-ni (sign up for email) as they get limited editions and one offs, you can normally pick up stuff cheap in the sales they have now and again.

It depends what you're after exactly. I may be able to help if there's a specific model you're looking for.

It it's generic 'retro' trainers you want then pretty much every sports shop in the country now stocks Gazelles, Superstars etc. Adidas are trying their hardest to ruin their legacy by releasing some shocking bastardisations of classic trainers, but there are a few decent reissues about if you look carefully.

You can pick up some quality original 80s models on eBay if you're prepared to splash serious money, or you can find reissues galore if you're not looking to spend too much. Barolas24 is a good seller, reasonable prices and quick delivery from Greece. I've bought a few pairs from him.

Adidas size 12 1/2s are the only shoes in the world that don't put me through a month of blisters. I got some really nice Gazelles out of a high street Footlocker the other week. Seemed to have a good range but it depends how retro you mean.
