This sort of garbage is the reason I will defend the politicalcompass when it is mentioned on these forums. Its not perfect, but its better than this grotesquely distorted view.
Authoritarian governments & beliefs do not all agree, there are large differences between them, at least in terms...
soo umm is it true that Nietzsche's ideology is essentially fascist? that's what a book i am reading at the moment (:D) seems to be saying ... saying that the "will to power" is a fascist concept, and saying that nietszche's attack on religion and conventional morality is essentially a fascist...
...events in store for humanity in the coming decades leave open the possibilities for large lurches in all sorts of directions on the politicalcompass.
Being 33 Im just hoping to live long enough that I may witness first hand as an adult something of the left in these parts that is beyond...
Bloody hell Dotcommunist, that is an amazing lump of writing, in the words of that famous Ian Dury song ' there ain't half been some clever bastards'. I'm not sure if you wrote this yourself but either way it is an amazing analysis of the comic book films which rings very very true.
Well, as John Pistelli argues, Hollywood's production mill is at a miserable nadir. One comic book fantasy after another, and all of them somehow parables about the 'war on terror' and the need for a hypertrophic superman to slaughter the evildoers without and the traitors within. The Dark...
"Political correctness", it seems to me, is the just preferred catch-all euphemism for terms like "respect", "compassion" and "kindness" for use by people who have no interest in cultivating those concepts in themselves.
...like to focus that in an effective way, instead of ensuring everyone laughs at you? Really, everyone, including those who may point in the same general on the politicalcompass as you will dismiss you as a crank.
Surely you'd like to actually make a difference? Unless it's just about...
Jonathan Rutherford, one of the few LP activists or academics to regulary write about the welfare reforms has written another excellent incisive and devastating indictment of NL welfare policy, it is on the Compass site and republished in Tribune

I know someone a friend in the writing group, who you would have thought, it would have benefitted him to vote labour over tory, but is a lifelong tory. I kind of doubt he really follows exactly what they stand for these days. He's an oldie type of one-nation tory.
We have arguments about it...
Trev:
my late father was a lovely bloke, couldn't do enough for you, good heart, kind and sincere. He did some shitty jobs (just before he died he worked cash in hand in a fast food restaurant), but he read the Daily Express and he voted Tory. He wasn't very political at all, it just seemed to...
If you want to find out what she represents, read the website and look her up for yourself.
I have no idea and it is irrelevant, because you are the one who has decided it is a 'moral fable'. It isn't a moral fable. It is someone doing a difficult thing that they believe in to try to bring...
I saw a newspaper picture from the political campaign
A woman was kissing a child, who was obviously in pain
She spills with compassion, as that young child’s
Face in her hands she grips
Can you imagine all that greed and avarice
Coming down on that child’s lips
Well I hope I don’t die...
