Your favourite trash telly

felixthecat

are we there yet?
Last thread on this was 2007 and trash telly has come a long way in this time.

....says the woman watching Lizard Lick Towing:facepalm:

I like my telly mindless. I have to think all day and I like to not have to think when I come home.

Anyone else lovin' the trash?

I'm really into 'Judge Judy' at the moment.

'Storage Wars' is becoming so-o-o yesterday for me.;)

Oh goodness me. I'm a junkie for it. Start jonesing if I don't get my fix. Any American weight loss programme, any clutter/hoarder stuff, Medium, Gilmore Girls, Oprah stuff, basically the TV equivalent of Frosty Jacks: incredibly bad for me, addictive and takes the edge off my day.

I'm not sure I can be totally honest about the shit I watch. You will judge me and I might have to leave.

Don't tell the bride-love it!

I did start watching Say yes to the dress too but there were too many repeats. This is a show based in a famous NY bridal shop and is basically brides choosing their dresses.

Soaps-emmerdale, corrie, eastenders

Gilmore Girls-but that's not actually trash, it's amazing. :)

Made in Chelsea-I have no defence for this. The people are awful (apart from Binky), it's totally staged and I hate myself for watching it. What's worse is I've dragged other people in to it too. :D

Keeping up with the Kardashians and spin offs-this is a fairly recent thing and as above I have no defence. No-one can be more disappointed in me than I am in myself.

Yes the Gilmore Girls is not really trash but you have to have some patience for the talkingwithoutbreathingandkeepingupwithifitisDeanorLoganorLukeorChristopher :)

Oh yeah Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents and all that BBC Three mind candy.

Me and my mate at work use to practice talking like Rory and Lorelai between calls (and sometimes on calls but then we'd laugh). :)

I don't watch much telly but I love Jeremy Kyle, Come dine with me, Corrie, The Undateables and police programmes like Motorway cops.

Jeremy Kyle is an awful, terrible man. He's cruel and vile and the guests are set up and treated like shit. Don't watch it, watch some proper trash telly!

Afraid to say I also watch (avidly) Four in a Bed. Its pleasures are a bit opaque to me...but revolves around what appear to be quite authentic feelings (especially when they are gently snarky).....and I can get quite engaged. Also, it is part of a daily work ritual which is preceded by 30minutes of vacant blobbing at the same time of day (which sometimes slides over in Come Dine With Me).

I've not watched telly for a while but in the past I've loved Tool Academy (first series only) and Fat Men Can't Hunt.

Oh, there was some American dating show I used to watch as well. They were on some "paradise" island and they had to do challenges and they picked a person to share a cabin with after each challenge. The winner got to do an amazing activity and were immune from being kicked out.

Can't remember the name of it but it was fucking great

I may or may not have watched a few episodes of The Hills.

(It's how I knew who Speidi were when they went into Big Brother, not that I actually watched Big Brother. I draw the line somewhere. :D)

I love watching How it's Made, and its variations. I even watch the repeats.

Such a wonderfully nonsense-free show. There's no cutaways to some twat of a presenter explaining what exciting thing is about to happen next. Just a show about how stuff is made.

I dunno what counts as trash really.

I watch Corrie and Eastenders, and loads of crime documentaries like Snapped - Women Who Kill, Wives with Knives, Killer Couples etc. I'm pretty sure they count.

Four in a bed, don't tell the bride, Ramsey's Costa nightmares, god alsorts. I've gone off come dine with me and I gave up on soaps a couple of years ago now.
