Hello fellow cat psychologists ! ! I have a bit of an issue with our FiFi, recently, she's taken to biting. I think it may have something to do with the boys now spending some time with us on the bed on lie-in days, she'll tolerate/ignore/bat them off for some while and then at some seemingly random time afterwards and with no warning whatsoever she'll leap at my arm, grab it between claws and bite it, drawing blood from both teeth and claws. This isn't finding favour with me as she's done it about once a week for the past three weeks and I'm accumulating scars. She does go for High Voltage occasionally but as she's bonded a little tighter with me, it tends to be me that gets the most of it, at least so far.
So ! Any ideas how I can avoid this happening in future would be welcome and also how to get out of a bite as painlessly as possible. We can shut her in 'her' room but we can't really shut the boys out of the bedroom. WRT getting out of a cat bite, I read something on the interwebz to the effect that one should push back against the bit in order to force the cat to loosen the grip - this did work the one time I tried it but she just went for me again and had a second go. My how I laughed.
