Lord Camomile

Yipchaa!
Sven-Goran Eriksson "would take him at once if he's fit". But, will he be fit.

Somewhat bizarrely, Hargreaves has posted some videos on YouTube to prove his fitness, although they do all seem to be rather brief.

Personally, I've always really rated him as a player (used to get so frustrated at how he was used for England  ), so I think I'd be willing to take the chance, and it's not like Newcastle doesn't have a history of players who spend more time in the physio room than the on the pitch.

He's been released so there's not transfer fee, not sure what his wages would be like.

On a pay-as-you-play basis, I absolutely would. Before his knee knack he was one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe for Bayern Munich.

Nope. We already did sign him once. Fergie's better than most in the transfer market but that was a serious misjudgement. some players are just injury prone.

If he does join us at Leicester I'd be very pleased. We're not short of cash so if he doesn't play, he might be good in the dressing room.

I agree. He's too much of a risk to be given a fat contract, but he was a great midfielder when he was fit. I hope he makes it back to fitness.

Was he really *that* great?

He was the best english player at the 06 world cup, but there wasnt much competition. He's the same level as Gareth Barry imo. Good. But not anywhere near great.

he looked good because he was mobile and used the ball intelligently. Which unfortunately is rare in an english midfielder.

because teams are limited to a twenty five man squad. he's a great player but he's always crocked. better to give a chance to a player who may not be as good but is far more dependable.

hmmm... how good is your 25th pick going to be anyway? Not exactly gonna be make or break that is it.

Oh yea, had forgotten about that. Probably still would.

Pick him for the team, obviously.

Seeing as how we've already signed Woodgate on a pay as you play I'd say there was every chance ! Apparently we're hoping to bring Jamie Redknapp out of retirement as well!!
