Restoration work wipes smile off the face of Dutch vegetable seller
"At some point in the last 400 years a painting restorer probably decided the Dutch vegetable seller was far too glum and should be smiling. Now it has been put right and she is once again enigmatic."
I love this. Next time some twat tells me to "cheer up love" I'm gonna tell them "I'm not glum, I just enigmatic" (or at the very least I'm gonna think that in my head...).
she's a Trump supporter so goodThis was from the Beeb website. Unintentional and I definitely shouldn't laugh, but I admit the way it's been edited gave me a little chuckle....
Daniel Craig says he prefers to go to gay bars cuz there are less toxic twats. Some gays don't like it when the str8s do that, but I've never minded at all as I like being among a nice mix of laid back chilled out inclusive folks having a fun time.

Same here. The straight guys who I've ever encountered in gay bars or clubs have always, to a person, been great and really seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and general vibe. Same goes for girls too that go there (maybe they feel slighter safer also in that environment?).
MCFC and MUFC fans have been really good on this as well:Not strictly speaking news as they've been doing this for years but nice to be reminded:
Football fans in Liverpool are uniting against food poverty
"The joint initiative between Everton and Liverpool supporters was set up to mobilise fans to donate food to communities bearing the brunt of austerity. While two supposed rival clubs, this isn’t the first time the teams have come together for fan activism: their mutual support in the wake of the 1989 Hillsborough disaster showed the power of unity and collective action that still lives on today. It’s a message encapsulated by their slogan – “Hunger doesn’t wear club colours” – and their logo, which shows a red hand and a blue hand, clasped together in a display of solidarity.
Collections are organised for before matches, with a food van usually parking up outside the stadium. Last year, Byrne estimated that the group was responsible for 30 to 37 per cent of all food supplies in the city."
from last year, but still good news.

I think in the local media ( I can't find the story now) the wizard was blaming "wokeness" at the council for him getting the axe.
If he really is a wizard I suspect some of the greysuits at the council to meet unusual ends by accident over the next few months.
