Which type of bra do you wear under a thin white t shirt?

Is white or nude/flesh colour better? I only have black and bright pink bras and will be buying it online so I can't try it out.

I have been going with black so far, but this is a very thin white band t shirt and the black distracts from the print.

Having just read the thread about nude shoes I want to rephrase my question to avoid offense. To make a bra be seen as little as possible through a thin white t shirt should I be wearing a bra closer in colour to the t shirt or to my skin tone? I thought probably the latter, as Cheesypoof suggested.

If you don't want the bra to be a feature, as it were, go for a skin tone. I favour the deco for t shirts fwiw.

FWIW cream or ivory (if pale skinned) might be just as good or better than the official nude colour but, as a general rule I agree. Go for the closest shade to your skin over that part of your body (ie match it to the rest of your torso and back, not to your arms or legs).

"Offended" is not the word I'd use for how I feel when "nude" is used in such a way that it applies to "whiter" skins alone. More like "excluded". Having said that, it's only natural, if you are asking for advice for yourself, that "nude" does mean your skin tone. I thank you for opening up the conversation to include us darker skin types into the conversation. :)

If I don't want my breast area to be visible at all, I go for a black bra (cos I can't be arsed to go looking for a dark brown bra) because the colour of the bra will blend in with my skin tone rendering it "invisible" under the white t-shirt. That would be my advice for you. Go for the bra colour that most blends in with your skin tone. White can defeat that object even in whiter skins than mine. Depending on how pale you are, ivory, cream, beige or camel colour bras may be more appropriate.

I spill everything down myself. I put it down to the big boobs acting like a shelf and catching everything. I could no more wear white and eat than I could fly.

Really I suppose i need a bib

I on the other hand do not have this problem...quite the opposite in fact

My spillage tends to land on my pot belly...

I always spill burritos down myself when I wear a white top. So I've stopped doing it.

On the odd occasions I have "attempted" to wear white, I have had to take it off before I have left the house as I already have something on it

I think a bright pink bra would look pretty good underneath if the writing you want to see is black on the white teashirt... :)

I bought a cream top for Glastonbury once (dumb I know!) and wore it for about ten minutes before dropping the brown sauce from my bacon roll down it. [emoji35]
Occasionally I forget and buy a white top again but they never last. Patterned is best for me as I'm really clumsy.

My brother (who some of you may know!) bought me a top many years ago. He liked it too so decided to wear it out for a curry. He got food down it and had to wash but some of the transfer came off. He still wrapped it up for my birthday. [emoji1]
