When is it okay for the left to get in bed with the far right

Well I hardly think voting the same way as UKIP in the referendum could be described as co-operating with them, but the OP seems to disagree (hope I'm not misrepresenting you ska invita)
Agreed. If the referendum had been called by a left-leaning labour govt intent on enacting socialist-style reforms that they said were blocked by EU membership, presumably right-wing racists would still have voted leave.

where it's a campaign which the far right are periferal to and where it doesn't further one or more of their key reasons for being.

oh maybe if some far right members decided to help campaign for an extra lollipop lady then it'd not be too bad to carry on working on that campaign.

When it's a campaign to solve the immigration situation by leaving the EU........ not such a great idea to be on that side of the fence IMO.

Obviously others on here have an alternative viewpoint on that.

So something you're already involved with, in your e.g. about the lollipop lady.

Both the far right & the left may recruit from the working class but that does not mean they should share any common ground. The path to far right nationalism is dark & horrible so the left should not go anywhere near these people. I think though that those both on the far right & left will see the current uncertainty as something that can be capitalised on but certainly the left should not communicate at all with the right apart from to shout obscenities.
