oh you and your fucking wheat bags :D

I'm drinking, it's just the heat init. At least I haven't vommed yet this year.

Lazy dinner here too...I have a M&S aubergine bake, cous cous & veg and a 3 bean salad.

I might roast the sweet potatoes I have as well.

:D Hey but yardie's already told me this week that they've been a godsend in this weather.

you could puree some soft fruit and make it into ice lollies

oh I forgot, I've been offered an air con unit

so hopefully that will stop me from getting really hot when I'm asleep

Payday for me too! Woohoo :D

Me too.
Happy payday Soj :D

Last night we had a BBQ and there was loads of basil & tomato chicken leftover so we've just finished that off in wraps with salad.
Strawberries given to us by our neighbour for pud.
All washed down with lashings of red wine.
If there's one thing I love more than Friday nights, it's warm sunny Friday nights sitting in the garden

Last night I had roast lamb with rosemary and garlic, with potato salad and Greek salad. It was a thing of beauty.
So much so, I had it for breakfast again this morning. YUM. :D

Need to get off my sunbed at some point and rescue a bowl of marinating chicken wings and drumsticks. I've already made the coleslaw, still deciding on wedges or pasta salad.

I got a Finest meal deal from Tesco - steak poivre, potatoes, two pieces of strawberry cheesecake and a decent bottle of wine for £9.

cake fail

What recipe do you use for the muffins?

MASSIVE cake fail!

I've stuck it in the freezer for now cos I couldn't bring myself to throw it away.... :D

Muffin recipe is this one...it uses grated courgette in place of butter....will be trying them on Wed or Thur so will let you know how they are!

I've just had griddled courgette (my first one from the garden), coconut dhal with some of my peas mixed in, some of my spinach and pitta bread (shop bought :D ).

Might have some strawberries and ice cream later.

Courgette in cake sounds wrong, but I'm prepared to accept that it may be right. Let me know what you think. I'm sure I'm going to have courgettes from the garden pretty soon and cake sounds like a good use for them.

Today my mum is coming for lunch and we're having roast lamb, roast potatoes, steamed new potatoes, carrots, runner beans and cabbage.

Rhubarb and strawberry sponge pudding (fruit on the bottom, sponge on the top) with custard for pud.

last night was cold homemade blueberry soup and cream cheese and home-cured gravlax on homemade rye bread. followed by eton mess icecream

tonight is unknown, as i am being cooked for :) the kids however have spiced chicken ,salad and rye bread

Failed cake makes great trifle/tiramisu!

I'm very envious of your home grown everythings sheo, mmmm courgettes

Successful haul from Lewisham Market yesterday. Spent approx a tenner and we brought home three carrier bags full of veggies and fruit. So last night button made us a vegetable (aubergine and romano pepper) sak and rice. And tonight I'm making mushroom risotto.

Made the cherries into a compote/jam earlier so having that with vanilla icecream for pudding.

Heh, and the two huge bunches of "corriander" for a quid turned out to be flat leaf parsley :D:D So made a big tabbouleh earlier for lunch & for tomorrow.

I did spag bol because it's the favourite comfort food of my son and husband. They were very glum after the match. They've stopped shouting and the dog has ventured from his hiding place. Comfort food. It does what it says on the saucepan.

I am eating home made tzatziki and little crisp bread things. It's not filing me up/soakng up teh cider so I may have to cook something. I might have an avocado salad with beansprouts. D'you reckon i coul.d thin the tzatziki down to make a dressing? I don't want to waste it :hmm:

I finally barbecued the four dodgy shrimps that had been sort of kept frozen in my hideous fridge for the past month.

I even ate most of the one that had been soft when I took it out of the fridge. :hmm:

2 hours and counting ....
