I don't do public transport, the car has air con

oh and I just took a tenner from a pile of money and went to get some stuff to make bolognese with.
Fair do's... I'm going to suffer then have sea-air con on my bike :D

Bolognese for Brighton? :hmm:

I going to Wahaca tonight. So, Mexican street food it is then :)
Never been to this place, but people seem to go on about it a lot!

This weeks efforts to get cooking again have been pretty successful. Celebrated the smallest one learning to crawl by cooking up batches of pureed delights for her including conchigliette with cheesy tomato and courgette sauce, leek and potato surprise and lentil, carrot, tomato and celery surprise. Everything is a surprise when you're a baby. :)

For the grown ups brie covered potatoes baked in olive oil, onions and tomatoes served with broccoli citrus gremolata went down well.

Hoping for similar results tonight from cheesed up portobello mushrooms and roasted vegetable cous cous.

Ringo, your food sounds LUSH!

Tonight's dinner (which I had no input in as I get fed dinner at the company I visit 3 times a week) was actually nice today!

We had some kind of poached scrambled eggs, like if you scrambled eggs but in water, I'm not sure how they did it, doen chang chi gae (Korean miso soup, much thicker and richer and full of beef and tofu and courgette and chili and potatoes, cucmber kimchi, courgettes with chillies and sesame seeds and rice.

Then they ruined it by giving me the most bizzare bit of yellow cake made of rice flour with peas and kidney beans. They had steamed it so it was kind of squishy but dense. It wasn't really sweet either. :hmm:

Lazy tea.

Hummous, salsa, salad, followed by Camembert and crackers - all washed down with Le Magnifique Monsieur Chenet's moreish Merlot ...

Perfect weather for cheese. Camembert is almost pourable after a few days at room temperature. :D

salad cream? you grimmer :p mayo innit

im having chicken and salad. I also ate some of the croutons I made yesterday straight out of the freezer - a revelation!

Button's payday and he took me out. Proper delicious chinese meal ... table on balcony on the river watching the sun set. I had such a lovely time, aw x

After two days of surviving on pasta casseroles from the freezer and hastily prepped sandwiches, due to long 'first harvest' days, I decided the fellas deserved some real food (and the overnight deluge made it too wet to be in the fields today anyway), so light duties, barbecued steaks, Greek salad and baked potatoes it was. Pecan pie and ice cream for dessert. A Mr. Jack Daniels made a post-dinner appearance as well. :)

:)

Am toying with the idea of ratatouille and couscous - mainly because it allows me to prep, and put inth'oven when I fancy, get pissed and sing for hours

last night I had a slice of toast

tonight will be beer and crisps at the pub that we're paddling to  that has the nicest beer garden in oxford! yay....

Cheers, the cous cous recipe disappeared, I may have imagined it. Ended up making a courgette frittata - courgettes grated and squeezed in a tea towel to remove the excess water. Gave the portobello mushrooms a thick layer of smoked cheese and plenty of seasoning and served it with a bit of salad.

Annoying as Jamie Oliver can be, his practice of getting kids to make up salad dressing in jam jars and shake them up works a treat; my oldest does a mean mustard, olive oil and red wine vinegar dressing now.

The Isis? Had a few good sessions in there when I lived in Oxford. Two mates nearly got drowned one time when the river burst its banks and they got stranded on an island in the beer garden :)

Last night SWMBO was out so just had a roast chicken leg and salad.

Payday today! So tonight we dine on Cabernet Merlot and something. I'll work out what later. Probably lamb goulash - love cooking that.

nope... although it's a good beer garden, I think that the Perch just tops the charts to take the title ;)

Payday for me too! Woohoo :D

We will also be dining initially on vats of wine hehe, but now I am thinking I might make Moroccan Style Stuffed Aubergines. And couscous - which I bloody LOVE and can never get enough of. It's almost unreal how easy it is to make and how well it goes with strong-flavoured food
